And I do think that Alex could come up with a really cool design for this one.

People have the funniest ideas of what constitutes a "Badass".

It's basically a Cataphract. I mean, it basically DESCENDS from it.

While I have faith is Alex's ability to make that abomination look cool, we already have the Cataphract which this thing is a knock off of.

True. I never liked the term much to begin with, but it seems it more and more becomes just a synonym for "nice"/"good".

(btw Earthsiege / Cyberstorm had MUCH MUCH more consistent and interesting rules and tech than the cheesy Battletech. But well, marketing is everything...)

Its like asking for the Penetrator when we are getting the Marauder; or asking for the Thug when we already have the Awesome.

Or worse, asking for the Flashman when we already have too many laser vomits.

We need mechs that allow unique configurations of weapons, engine size, mobility (JJ). not more clones.

I do have to say PGI is selling memories and nostalgia these days, not really "new" exciting mechs
what ya need new mechs for?

Pretty similar loadouts to the Cataphract, similar appearance, same exact weight. Yeah, I doubt they'll bother with it any time soon, unless you can get enough people saying they'd buy it.

Nah, that thread is intended for Unseen mechs. Which this isn't. This would fall more into the redundant mechs category. We don't have a special thread for that yet.
