So I was just wondering, if any of you guys have seen any organized group ever run two full waves of Executioners (presumably followed by two waves of mist lynx)?

I was just reading the old "New king of the battlefield" post for the Executioners and really wanted to know if anyone followed through. So anyone see it, if so how did it go? What kind of loadouts were used?

I don't drop with any organized CW units anymore, but when I play clan I average about 1200 dmg on my EXE. IMO it is the king of the battlefield when you can't count on your teammates to support a slow assault (DWF).

Slightly wondering what build you have on the exe to get a average of 1200 damage, I have broken 1300 in my exe before, but that was before psr and now I only get between 400-700 on average with an occassional 900 damage game. Ever since PSR I have not broken 1000 damage in my Exe, gotten close but haven't broken it.

Ah, I just don't like running guass on my exe, the high mount is nice for it, but it doesn't fit my playstyle.

Sounds like a beefy Hellbringer with no ecm, I'll have to try it.

I usually run mine as 12 SPL + 1 LPL or 12SL+UAC10, it melts faces in close range in short order, but suffers at long range.

12SPL??? Damn. It is that kind of load out (ditto on the Nova, cheetah, etc.), that leads me to take the position that the heat penalty for stacked lasers should be more of a factor. 2 for LL, 4 for ML, and 6 for SL (of any sort).

Which mechs in BT actually carried 12 of the same weapon?

This: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...ae068a39be84e10

is what I'm contemplating running on the EXE if I ever buy one. ERPPC poptarting/cornerpoking for light ranged harassment (so it's not totally useless at range) and the 11 SPL for destroying people at short range (200 or less).

It would only ever be a 'fun' build though. Against serious meta mechs it would be worthless.

This: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...211d1bd19c7fe3f

might have better (higher) mounts for the PPC though? Not sure if its worth the trade off having one of the leftside SPLs stranded in the right arm. (ouch if you lose that right torso...)

The heat penalty is already 6 for small lasers, thats why I have 2 groups for them. If I were to accedentally click both too close to each other I'm a dead man, and its happened before.

Also the Nova was built to boat large numbers of the same laser. I'm pretty much running my Exe as an assault Nova.

Anything you shoot melts once you get in range.

For me, the following build has proven deadly effective:

4 x ERSML + 2 x ERLL + 2 x CLRM10

Choose your range and mode of fire, can engage any unit on most ranges, and the close in-punch is deadly.. Doesn not overheat too badly.

The mech in question is EXE-D with all energy omnipods and missle left arm.

Note that every weapon group does about 20 damage when fired, which is sort of a must for the way I build mechs..

The Executioner and Gargolye mechs both play the same.. like Breaker76 once said: "I just run it like a huge Nova"

I hate the low slung arms on the EXE. But with D torsos I run 2 LPL 1 ER med 2x streak (on my prime) and 3 LPL on my C(L)

Exe-C: made this load out similar to one I recently made to my prime, but made a few changes. sometimes it works out for me and sometimes not. btw I would never use a stock prime in a PUG drop which is what I mostly play, total light mech fodder. my best so far in the Exe-C was 2 kill, 4 assist, 800 damage probably below average for a PUG drop but heh, it can tank damage like a champ, and still come out swinging, got it down to 35% armor one drop, its a beast of a mech :o)

My favorite loadout has been 1LPL in the LT and 6MPL between the RA and RT. With the LPL cool down mod they sync very well. Brutal side poke at medium range.
