Oh I'm going to have so much fun hunting down MetaMADs and MetaWhammies!
(PS, will probably give people a pass if they have LPLs or like on the Widow, 2x ERLLs or such in the arms)

Since I find rocking around in about as non-meta an Atlas as you can (XL in an IS, Atlas w/out Ballistics, etc), I think I'm gonna give all possible builds consideration with the Warhammer.

Will be running PPCs on 3 out of 4 Warhammers, minimum, probably 4 out of 4...But only the 7S gets to keep missiles.... I find single missile racks so useless.

define winning?
I define it as challenging myself to do better than the other guy, even with substandard builds, as immersion means far more than Epeen, to me.
As long as I continue my steady but slow ascent up Mt Tryhard, upon the smoldering wrecks of MetaMEchs, I consider myself to be "WINNING".
If allone cares about is finding whatever mode is the most EZMode to play, then folks should stick to the handful of comp approved "metamechs" and leave the rest to those who don't care, lol.

winning; winning the match, doing more damage than the enemy, killing more of them than they kill of you. period.
Relatively few people use metamechs as the end all when it comes to building mechs, litterally 0 of my 128 mechs has a build from there.
I only play to win, I dont put builds together because they "look cool" I put on what i know i can kill stuff the quickest and most efficient for the most statistically probable scenarios.

sounds......
boring. And still the actual definition of a metamech (a concept that existed long before that website)
Well, have fun with that.

LoL yes that is the definition of the metamech you are clever, however you were talking about metamechs the website and hence my refrence to it. You dont need to be on metamechs to make a "good" mech (when did it ever become shameful to make a good build?)
I personally have fun when I win and i like to win very much, I play to win, I always try my best, I'll never throw a game.
This is one of the only games I play in which people deliberately give themselves a disadvantage and then they play poorly and think its a mark of skill that they play the way they do...
(EDIT) in some ways it is a mark of skill... IF they are capable of doing better than someone else who is trying their best.
But in a way its like always using a pistol in counterstrike, sure you will get props for that victory with only a glock, but its like playing golf with one arm.

actually, I wasn't referencing the website, hence the lack of a ".com".
As for "bad builds" guess that is in the eye of the beholder.
Why would I take a Mech like the Warhammer and make it laservomit, when the Black Knight and Grasshopper are better for it?
Why waste time on ballistics when there are mechs already in game for that?
Like I said, if you enjoy your game vanilla, that's fine and up to you. What's not fine is acting like a dbag to people who don't share your tastes and opinions.

As for "bad builds" guess that is in the eye of the beholder. -right like you might think my builds are bad and im sure i think yours are bad.
Why would I take a Mech like the Warhammer and make it laservomit, when the Black Knight and Grasshopper are better for it? -pretty big assumption

Suffice it to say, you are wrong, as usual.
Have fun.

And I will be happily farming MetaHammers from my LoreHammer.
Bet ya I'll be having more fun, too.
(Of course, that's not really fair, because you haven't been having much fun with MWO for a few months now)
