My initial reaction was to point out how far off it was from the concept art, but on closer inspection, it isn't really that far off. It's actually pretty close.
This makes me think that I have to wait for in-game shots when the Wolfhound, and not judge to harshly when it doesn't have a proper skin applied yet.

MWO hound: those shoulders are ridicolously large.

It's not terrible I suppose, just underwhelming. I'd like to see it in game with proper textures added before making a final decision on looks (it made a big difference for the Black Knight), but overall...ehhh.
wolfhound looked oddly stiff and stubby in Alex's art, too. TBH, I have never see a version of the wolfhound that lived up to the lore description, not even close.

head looks like a fluffy bunny head, not a wolf.

MW4's Wolfhound does look ok if not a bit cheap looking too. I do kind of like that head design
though (drawing and not MW4 ingame representation). I thought it would look too cartoony before, but honestly the MWO head looks a bit too bland.
As for MW4's designs, I think the Catapult is the main reason I hated that game's aesthetics...
I mean like...what the hell?!?
The bow-legged Madcat MKII was good too...

Nope Bish, bunny ears go down, wolf ones aim at the sky!
Anyway.... another mech I wish to re-design:

It looks like it's wearing a corset.

It comes with maximum armor, double heat sinks (WLF-2), and an STD engine for maximum zombie-ness. Of course, it is slow (only 97.2 kph stock) and doesn't have any jump jets.
I'm loving the badge too. I'll be changing to that at the first opportunity.

I honestly didn't know what it's "supposed" to look like, lorewise. But looking at Sarna, I guess that kind of blocky and utilitarian look is fitting, as it was thrown together from off-the-shelf components.
I'm actually planning to try running the WLF-2® virtually stock, just throw in Endo and Ferro, and use the freed tonnage for 3 DHS or 2 DHS + AMS. Interested to see how it'll do in a "light medium" role.

looks like the CT may be skinny as hell, too. Might actually be worth running STD builds on one or two of them... WLF-2 as a 137.5kph zombie?

Chest area had to be big to make room for four (4) wonderful dynamic hard point lasers....
Here is another mech that doesnt work with the cookie cutter weapons we have...*sigh*

Check it out, i think it looks much better in the instagram-turnaround than in the still image.

Now that I have seen the Wolfhound in the proper in game skin, I think it might look worse than the preproduction photo.
It reeks of a rush job to me. Whatever, I'm just glad I don't have to look at it too much other than the Mechlab. Hopefully it will be somewhat fun to play. It sure is nauseating to look at.
