2 Crit slots vs 1 Crit Slot (50% AdvantageClans)
5 tons.....vs 4 4 tons (20% Advantage Clans)
(Also, the 60% max range locking laser nerf hits IS harder than it does clans for ERLL.)
Try it before you cry it. This one actually makes theoretical sense for balancing.

Yes, the changes are a good start for IS balance with Clans, but it actually doesn't go far enough. Clan lasers are still probably better in general so far.

That's funny that you say that because some Clan players have basically claimed that this is the end of the world.

Those are the same people who lie to themselves saying clan laser boats are inferior. Their only example is the 5SS, which in this instance has been un-buffed.
I can't say I've experimented a lot (1 match each HBR and EJB), but they're still deadly as hell if you can multitask by hitting "R". So far I've had ~4 instances where ECM delayed my ability to target, and no f***s we given. They still took more damage what if I had tried leading with AC's or something. I'm about to try some IS gear to see how they compare.
edit: 5SS still dominates brawls w/145m optimal, that was an eye-opener!

This is the one big change I really like. it needed to happen. It maintains some faction flavor.
CERLL has sucked for a long time. Of course these changes make it suck more. it's just a weapon and needs rebalancing (which it will probably get if this change goes live) so how about we stop whining about the weapon no one is using?
