Exactly what is the player basis of the game? PVP? PVE+PVP? RPG? A PVP centric game is a niche game. A pure PVE is a slightly larger niche game. I sincerely hope that it will be a PVE/PVP combo with all that entails. More money for the company means longevity for the game.

I recommend three server types. PVE only - For the gobs of players who do not like PVP
PVP only - For the opposite of above
PVE w/some isolated PVP - common sense (players and money)
PVP w/some isolated PVE (Home base) (hardcore)

Need: Avatar that actually has good Char Creator and something to do
Customizable Mech - game and cosmetic paint
Interior and Exterior camera view controls
Autofire toggle
Cinematic cutscenes for mounting/unmounting mech
Largest possible playing field - close to sandbox level instances
Companion NPC mechs for players to form/play with squads

Having both run and played the tabletop versions (PnP) I know the possibilities of immersion in an MMO mech game. Lore/story should be extremely integrated with story. Factions/Merc groups/Freelance/Pirate are all fascinating storylines - The sky is unlimited (except for computer program engine and money)

Narrowing this game down to one isolated promoted group will make a few bucks from the hardcore and then oblivion. Hope this is for a lot of us gamers. Really looking forward to MechWarrior. Remember the avatar not just the mech.

this thread has been made a hundred times at this point. Please search before making new threads rehashing the same subject.

On topic this game is going to be PVP first and fore most. If we see PVE it won't be till later down the line post launch.

Sorry I wasn't trying to be mean spirited. I was just suggesting that you might want to look around in the future before making a new thread. It's fine. I assumed you were new which is why I did answer your question. Again, I apologize if I came off harshly.

A few pointers. Check out the FAQ, and the Developer Blogs, and the community Q&A.

Why ? Because you don't like PVP ? Look at League of Legends or World of Tanks (both Free to play, both PVP centric, both with a huge community), look at all the online first person shooters like UT or Battlefield, which have even more fans. It all depends on gameplay, quality and balancing.
