Back in the days when MekTek was working on MW4, their forums had a gallery of fanart and 'mech designs. Some of the latter were pretty nice looking original work.

Unfortunately, ever since they took down their forums I've been unable to find those designs on other sites. I've attempted to message them about this, but their site keeps giving me an error message when I try and send them a message, which I'll also post here:

During the period when your forums were available, I was extremely interested in some of the original 'mech designs that could be found in the image galleries, such as these:

However, when your forums were taken down, so were the galleries, and I am unable to find copies of the 'mech designs that were hosted there on other sites.

If at all possible, could you please make a download of the galleries' contents available for your fans? I, and likely many others, would appreciate the gesture.

On a final note, I would like to say that I love what you've done over the years for MW4, and am extremely interested in the Heavy Gear game you're working on. I'm looking forward to playing it!

Best Regards

If anyone saved these designs before the forums went under, I'd appreciate it if anyone could hunt down those designs and post them here. Like I said, they were pretty awesome.

They also had a bunch of art from a artist going by Sid/Insidious who has more or less vanished from the internet. He had some great Battletech related art but most of it was posted on the MekTek gallery or the old Battletech forum which was deleted after a hacking incident.

Damn, really? Could you point me to anywhere I might find that art?

Thats just it, I can't find any of his work anywhere post MekTek. I'm sure someone in the MekTek team has it saved on their hard drive but they seemed tied up trying to keep Heavy Gear going.

Have you tried browsing the internet archive of mektek? It's really slow and most things probably won't be there, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already looked. It didn't save the galleries.

On the bright side, I managed to find one of the images I was looking for!

Take a look at the date it was added. This was the original Spitfire art that model was apparently based on.
