How, how is it possible for a game that's been out for like 3 years to crash 7 times in one day on a modern PC. This is Windows 95 type problems. Seriously, what gives?

Well, at least run the Repair Tool at least once and see if something is bad.

Otherwise, it's probably your system failing in some form (RAM, CPU, PSU, who knows?).

8th time. How would it be my system failing? Brand new equipment. I run BF4 on four monitors at Ultra-High with forced AAx32 AFx16 and never have a single problem ever.

Just because you can run other games doesn't mean MWO isn't exposing something in your system's hardware. All games stress GPU/CPU/RAM/HD differently.

I can't remember the last time I had a crash. I've been playing since August 2012, and I could probably count on two hands or less the number of times the game has crashed. I've had two different gaming systems during that time.

If you really want help, your brand new modern system needs to be itemized. Hardware, OS, drivers, everything.

I think the most know stability option at the moment is running in DX9 instead of DX11. That's all I can think of based on your lack of info.

My old rig ran MWO with remarkable stability with 4 Gigs of RAM, a 2.7 GHz quadcore, and a GTS 260 nVidia card. Ran it even better when I upgraded the graphics to a GTX 750 Ti.

If your system is beefier than that (and I expect it is), and you are having issues, than run the repair tool and double check your drivers, and if that doesn't help, turn down some of the game's graphics settings. There has to be something about how your system is running the game that's doing it, because the game will run more than stable enough on low spec systems.

Try changing between the 32 and 64 bit client, and also try swapping between DirectX 9 and 11. Usually fixes any crash related issues.

I don't crash that often while playing but I do crash whenever I try to exit the game. I kind of find that a little bit more ridiculous! Is it still exiting out of the application? Yes! But is it doing it the normal way? No.

also try updating your video drivers. usually the game gets crashy after a patch, and that seems to help.

I used to have a LOT of crashes too, and blamed PGI all the time, because like you I could run other games without problem...

But I had my sli setup wrong, and once I fixed it, crashes gone 90%. When it happens now is because alt+tabbing and chrome running 2 or 3 tabs in the background...
