I've been wondering what the community thought about what PGI should focus on most in terms of game design, during the next year.

So I made a poll to let the dev's know what WE the PLAYERS think is most important to us!

So come guys.. voice your opinion and VOTE!

And please don't spam..

This is not a topic as to HOW they should do it, just about WHAT they should do..

Where is the fixing existing issues with hit registration and collision detection and such old almost feature like issue tab? Or would game balance or immersion include such things.

OK, so coming into the next Town Hall, here's how we stand thus far:

3rd place in importance is attracting new players.

2nd place in importance is tied between More maps and fixing CW (not mutually exclusive :P )

1st place in importance is tied between Game Balance and More Game modes.

This should provide some good info to PGI on what we want from them in the coming months..

Let's just hope they actually read this topic..

But guys, KEEP VOTING.

Your votes count...

I'd like to see them abandon the tier system, or re-work it to something more sensible. One look at the leaderboard and you can see it's broken. 1st place on the leaderboard for a while has been an account that played and won a single game and never played since, while 60% of new players are people who spent a lot of their early game dying, and every death and low score they got while learning exponentially increases the amount of winning/high score matches they'd have to do in their game lifetime to compensate back up the tiers.

Tl;dr if you're a new player and want to play in the higher tiers, you're better off using your first account as a throwaway learning experience, and then starting a new one and specifically going out of your way to rack up as few deaths as possible.

Or you could use an aimbot; those seem to be popular recently. You'll really soar up the ranks.

(You can tell someone's using one when spectating when their crosshair cycles between hit locations on enemy mechs, and can tell exactly where the best place to shoot at is before they even get targeting data. You can also see the program hooks outbound mouse movement data and smooths transitions to attempt to make the hack harder to detect. Sometimes I wonder if I should suicide early round just to spectate and catch these guys, but then I realize they rise too high in tier for it to matter much.)

There wasn't a specific choice for more weapons, but that's certainly what I want to see.

If I could just get whatever I wanted, I'd ask for HAGs, RACs, MRMs, LAMS, Variable Pulse Lasers and plenty of other things. Yeah, I know that most of those aren't in the current time period, but I'm talking about what I want~

But aren't Blasers, X-Pulse and a few variations of IS cannons available for the current date in game? I know I'm getting greedy, but I want more to mech builds than LPLs, Gauss, medium lasers and a few missiles here and there.

Oh, and I'd like chainfire to get fixed, definitely that too.

Expand and improve the chat interface, make more layers to CW ... fix existing issues ... Create an environment worth staying logged into, build the player base ... make more money / make MWO better ... progress forward.
