Nope, not in MWO.
I like to play with 2 Locust?
Nope, not in MWO.
Now who need Assaults?
Now we will see:
10 ACH and 2 TBR.
10 FS and 2 TBR.
And this give me a flexibility? Rly?

Nope, MM is broken.
Yes I will whining, when you have more than 10 M of experience points, most of all mechs, and you see that this game is still BETA!
You can only whining. Why because I love this game, but something is wrong, very wrong.

Unfortunately I have to agree. I can see a certain point in not allowing 3 people to run 3 dires/crabs and having a max tonnage lance without any drawbacks (pushing max weight always is a problem, maybe not a terribad one, but it is, "sweet weight spot" is a thing). But 2 friends should be allowed to play ANYTHING THEY WANT. Jeez, think of new players who have one mech each and it's a crab or dire. It not that uncommon.
And what's wrong with 2-3 locusts/commandoes? Are they OP or something?
Plus, there should be a limit to weightclasses. 4 should be tops you should've be allowed to bring in.
EDIT:

Duude, nerf whines are one thing, "the game arbitrarily disallows me to play the mech I like because reasons while possibly opening opportunities for exploiting for large groups of players" whine is kinda a different thing

Idiotic system, buffs big groups because no 3/3/3/3 and nerfs small groups because can no longer run identical assaults or lights with 1 or 2 mates.
It wasnt broke. Stahp.

the big groups have directly nothing to do with pug stomping....
because pug's are normally not in a group. if they are in a group, normally, they shouldn't be pugs anymore.

It was fun? NOPE.
Now we will have, 10 lights. It will be fun? NOPE.
All the time the same mistakes, all the time.
Sad, very sad.

It's just a small tweak which can be easily removed, give it a chance and see if the new rules boost your game experience, if not just leave a post in the feedback forums.

is it possible to stop that whining about the 2xassault playing.
if no one is able, the assaults are reduced and so you need not the assault to be good enough.
Just assaults using is just neccessary, becasue of it is free to use them in groups.
There will be less and then one of the team takes the assault and then the other of the 2 takes it.... and if you are 3.. then there is no problem. the third can take a small one and then 220 is enough to field your king crabs, to have the overquirked uac5 mech to win the battle.

Yes I've played it two years ago, no fun.
We had this in MWO and it was bad. Not the same but similar.
Now we back to this. Every one known this was bad.
And you think this will boost my game experience?
Nope. The new MM i broken plus this tonnage limits, this will be hell.

You are apparently a Tier 1 player, you should be able to easily predict the abuse possible and negative game impacts from this new tonnage system without having play with it first. You are foolish if you think that a system will "be easily removed" once implemented. The chance of that being the case is extremely small, especially after taking PGI's developmental track record into consideration. This change will lead to less diverse drop decks being fielded. There will be a few extreme drop decks fielded, but the overwhelming majority will be the bell curve of the meta mechs that fall within the sweet spot of weight. It might take up to a couple of weeks for it to settle into that, but it will happen pretty quickly. This sort of system would be far more appropriate in the tabletop Battletech game than MW:O and oddly enough completely goes against PGI's intention of having rough parity between the weight classes that they've been trying to work on since the very beginning of closed beta testing. This tonnage system clearly shows that they consider assault mechs as the far more deadly and valuable mechs in a battle than lighter mechs so either they have completely failed in their game design or they have two parts of their development process working against each other, pulling their game mechanics in two opposite directions (not the first time that has happened in the course of this game's development unfortunately). This tonnage system will also work against them when attempting to try and sell assault mechs in the future because players will have a drastically reduced opportunity to ever use them unless they primarily solo queue for matches.

My Point is that at the moment it feels a bit like the shitstorm times were IGP was involved in development...
Keep your critics constructive, check out the changes they do and go to Patch Feedback Forums unstead of flaming the Devs.
I've started topics regarding resistance 2 and the new Ui, I was like the pure definition of an internet troll cuz I was mad... and I'm still not happy with several things going on.
I Reread my Topics and thought that if I'm a Dev this is defenitely demotivating, so I changed my mind and try to stay positive, even with critics
Edit: My advice for the Devs would be:"you guys should play your own Game more often and more than 10 rounds in a row"

I see the suicide as a valid option for any pilot who wants to deny the enemy a kill.
It's a matter of principle, really. The enemy may take the land and kill "my friends", but "I" will not be killed by their hands and will die on my own terms!
What's the problem with this besides those who wanted their need to get a kill to be catered?
PGI, is this the kind of action you really want to take now? Limit the pilots options?
I guess forum whiners win again. GG.

Am I doing it right?
Honestly, I'm all for any system that gives closer games with less wait. We'll have to see how it works out. Most people like to run heavies, so I imagine that's what we'll see. MM was already ignoring 3/3/3/3 in most games (I frequently see 1/3/4/4, or 1/2/5/4), so it won't be much different.
The rest looks good too. Thanks PGI!
