This would just kill all Clam mechs and make the bad ones even worse....Not to mention THATS THE POINT OF OMNI MECHS.

Several like the Stormcrow Prime, Warhawks Prime + C, and Daishi Prime would remain effective....

However, the pool of viable ones would certainly plummet into the ground overnight.

Better the Pod, more structure nerf it gets relative to the Chassis tier.

Isn't the point of omni mechs to allow battalions to quickly switch their gear out to suit their target environment/situation? I would bet they wanted as much uniformity in these pods as possible so they could be put directly on to any of the same mech for any pilot.
Wouldn't specializing these pods individually be directly against the point of having omnipods for your forces?

The Pan is at least 35 tons, which helps it at least attempt to load some kind of midsize ballistic onto it....both mech examples highlight the sorry state of low-tonnage ballistics and SRMs.

Now what the hell. What is all this crap about balance when PGI hasn't even got that far! You fix my mechs where I can't customize them them you can play all by yourself because that would more or less kill off the game!There's only like 4 to 6 OP clan mechs. PGI should had never put my Dire in this game. They had gone to get lengths to keep only the Jager and the Cat 4x as the only two able to carry dual gauss because they knew what the Victor A or giving the Bann 3E 3/4 balistic hardpoints in each torso would open up a can of worms. Then they go ahead and put that turret (Dire) into the game!

Alot I'm guessing have forgotten all the built in nerfs to the clan's. Some of which screwed certain mechs like the ones with no endo steel, or the slowness of the Dire (twist and not being able to upsize to a larger engine. That's just a few items, it's not like this was just thrown together in a box and dumped on us. Some of the total BS I'm seeing lately has me wondering why can't people just have a little patience. The clan's haven't been here 3 years! If you get some sort of crap passed, then as a balancing measure, then we can upgrade our engines! Turn a round is fair play. I'm waiting to see what sort of weapon balance is going to happen (outside the unfair CER laser nerf). They should just drop "ER" at the rate thier going. I'm guessing instead of making them hotter, thus forcing more mixed builds, that they've heard enough about ghost heat, and heat in general!
