Ok, so I am at the beginning of Hpg and I swap a long range barrage with a dual er large laser raven. extreme range. Around 700 + meters. He grazes me with one of his Larges to my front right torso. My armor still shows me at 98% but my armor diagram shows red front armor and red rear armor. If I am not mistaken, the Shadowcat has more then 10 points of armor forward and there is no reason for it to transfer to the back. I have heard there is a an armor wrap around bug on the S-cat but the damage from a single grazing laser hit seems a little extreme. So is it the S-cat taking extra damage because of an armor bug or is it the er large lasers have a new mechanic that is causing this "over" damage when they hit?

Interesting. I've played several hundred games with the SHC and I have never experienced that.
Of course that doesn't mean that there is no problem.
Thanks for the info.

Depending on the enemy, is it possible that it was more than one laser and was actually (quirks/Modules) in optimal range; some hard points cluster so closely that it is hard to tell if it is just one laser or two; not sure if this could be the case (associated with the armor wrap around) but aside from that and possible side shots not noticed, it may not be an issue?!?

Yeah but his statement of being at 98% health and having a red core component is what's weird.

I'd REALLY love to have a screen shot, or better yet a video of this happening...

That's no bug, that's just hitboxes. He have any elevation on you? If so, he could have grazed your rear armour.

It's that simple.

Again, taking his statement of:

I don't think it makes sense that a 98% 'mech ends up with both red front and red rear armor, UNLESS, he's loading very little armor on those particular torsos.

Without screens, I'll go and say he read it wrong.

One could have been red (rear) and the other Yellow-Orange, but at 98% nothing else is possible.
