Just updated for the 20 Oct patch, now the game wont launch after pressing play from launcher. Have ran the repairer multiple times and un/reinstalled. Double checked all my security/firewall settings still a no go. Any help is appreciated.

Try this

Delete 'C:\Users\'USERNAME'\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online'

You will have to put ALL your settings back in but worked for me recently

Hope you get this sorted.

I downloaded and reinstalled direct x. It cured my issues.

What version did you use Mud, 9 or 11? Tried it but still a no go, the MWO desktop icon has the blue and yellow shield, the windows icon on it as well, ran compatibility and it says undetected program, this is getting very frustrating.

we had the same problem in twitch chat yesterday, check if the folderrights for the mwo folder are set correctly, the new setup/patcher seems to do weired things with those.

in our case on japanese OS they didnt have edit rights for the folder so the launcher crashed after the mwo logo splash

OK McValium, that is exactly what mine is doing. I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific in the fix, I have no idea what you said to do. Sorry.....And i just realized my MWO Update folder is empty, is that normal?

read the log files in the MWO directory. They usually contain onformation that tells you what went wrong.

If I read it right it says everything went ok, the last entry is "attempting to start client" that's all

if it has the little arrows set
on edit/read+start/show content/read and write

for your logged in user
