I just finished upgrading my pc with new motherboard, processor and ram, re-installed windows 7 ultimate 64, re-downloaded MWO and I'm still having problems running the game. I can get MWO to work in 32bit, but when I attempt to load it in 64bit nothing at all happens other than the patcher minimizing into the taskbar then dissappearing. I've tried the no patch shortcut to bypass the patcher, but again it works in 32 bit but nothing happens in 64bit.
Any idea what is happening?
System spec:
Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
i5 4690k
16GB 1866mhz memory
Gigabyte Z97 gaming 5 motherboard
GTX 970 - up to date drivers
Cause Of 64Bit Mwo Not Working?

Not sure if it will help but...
I just went though this nightmare with a friends build. http://mwomercs.com/...king-frustrated
I'm convinced it was something with direct-X. Try reinstalling direct-X, information on that is posted on page 2 of that thread. Apparently there is a link to the updater and another to the entire thing. Use the one for the entire thing.

Had this after Win10 upgrade. Inserting the correct DirectX dll worked for me.

Thanks for the replies, but unfortunately none of it solved the problem. Seems just about every 64bit application failed to load, so I had a major problem. Updated BIOS to the latest didn't help either.
So I tried updating to windows 10 as a last resort, but didn't have too much hope because of the above reply about this happening with Windows 10. But every problem is fixed now, so I can enjoy my new build without these frustrations.
