This is a copy from suggestion.

legs are one colour, arms another colours and torso the third colours. Many different pattern can be made with this one.

Vertical Center line division, only 2 colours. simple enough and lacks effects that would make the Arrow camo mundane.

Offset right vertical center line.

Offset left vertical center line.

Left leg+right arm one colour, right leg+left arm one colour, torso another colour.

I think those would be a good starting point for someone new to the staff *wink wink*

ADD you own dead simple pattern. and maybe if it's your job, give your curriculum vitae.

I like it. One potential complication: Colorblindness. I post this just because you did come up with an elegant solution, and it made me think of this. :)

Classic heraldry field divisions should be easy enough to add:

These could be very fast to create, they just need to stop force feeding new battlemech to the artist or hire a new one... ahah..:'(

I don't see how color blindness would be any more of an issue with new patterns as it is with any of the current or stock mods.

But I'm with you on adding even super simple patterns to the camos. The number of them needs to about double because currently its just boring looking through them.
