Hello fellow Lyrans,

The announcement of 'Operation: Inception' by the developers has brought a big smile to many faces and I hope there are also a lot of Lyran Commonwealth players who consider spending 60$ (Elite) or 120$ (Legendary) in return for:

- One (Elite) or four (Legendary) exclusive custom "Founder's BattleMech/s" and included lifetime, per-match C-Bill booster for this/these mech/s,

- $80 value of in-game currency for in-game item purchases,

- Two (Elite) or three (Legendary) month premium account to MechWarrior Online at launch to earn XP & C-Bills faster,

- Founder's Tag - sets your status apart from the crowd & get noticed in-game and on the forums,

- Early Beta Test MechWarrior Online game access.

- Name mentioning in the game's credits (only for Legendary Founder packages)

Are you considering to get a Elite or Legendary Founder's Package and if so, which of the above listed features do you regard as most useful?

Which of the four indicated battlemech types would you select as part of your Elite Founder's package or would you get all of them in the Legendary Founder's package and why?

i do like all of the bonuses but my main purpose for paying is supporting the team and feeling like buying something good for once.

of the things i get i think i will enjoy the early game access the most, though the cash boost isn't a bad way to get kick started either.

I am still not sure the Founders Mech is only going to be one of those 4.. I have a hope that those are the Beta starting mechs and that when we go LIVE you willbe able to pick any mech as the one you get teh Founder bonus attached to.. I can hope.. Because I would love it attached to my Awesome:)

I'm a little concerned.
I'd like to get the ELITE Founder's Package but when I read a little further down I read "The closed beta and OPERATION INCEPTION assets will enjoy support only in North America.".

As I read this, you are only able to get all the nice bonuses for MWO if you are in North America. So even if I wanted to, I don't think I can even purchase this package.

I am really torn between the Hunchback and the Atlas. The atlas looks very cool and is the Steiner signature mech, but with the possibility of BV or weight limits later in the game a hunchback may be more practical.

Couldnt have said it better myself. For voting purposes, I went with the Atlas.

I just hope that either the package will be portable to european servers, or until july, when the beta access starts, a european package will be available...
Oh, and if I can choose one of those 4 mechs it will be of course an Atlas...

As stated there will be no ip banning so you will be able to get the package and play - Most of us "Not-North-Americans" of course hope for servers also outside NA and/or a decent transfer later on - I will play NA server and hope for a decent ping that will not let me be killed to fast.

Hope still prevails

I will be choosing a Jenner as my founder mech. Yes, I feel dirty and a disappointment as a Lyran but let's face it, I've always been a bit of a renegade Steiner. Sigh.

I'm also going with a Jenner actually if that's the only light choice. I prefer scouting, spotting, and some light sniping. Also I'm a big fan of energy based weapons over balistic. Sure I have a cool down time, but that's what my light mech's speed is for, and I don't have to worry about ammo.

My mech will be a light mech. Which one depends on what is offered for the Foundry mech.

Right, everyone who didn't pick Atlas, you're out of Steiner.

I picked Hunchback. Mainly because it's the only mech on the list I can really make do what I want to do. What I'm really hoping for is that the special mech c-bill bonus doesn't stack with the premium account bonus so I can change mech's without feeling like I'm gimping myself once they come out with a mech I'm more interested in.

Such as the Battlemaster or the Banshee for Assaults as I dislike the Atlas itself and both the BattleMaster and the Banshee are pretty danged iconic for Steiner.

For smaller tonnage the Cataphract is quite nice, but I'll have to see the hardpoint layout and it's pretty much capellan only mech, which matters to me. I'd love a Wolverine (The hard point layout of a stock wolverine is awesome. Can easily throw a gauss into the AC-5 slot and do other upgrades).

I wouldn't mind a Centurion either, yank the AC-10, throw in a gauss, some other modifications and go to town. As a Blackjack graduate I'm already a black sheep, so have no problems with not driving an Atlas.

It would be nice to be able to transfer the c-bill generator to another mech. After all it isn't likely you'll be using just that one mech, especially if you end up getting something with way better stats later. Every mech has its pros & cons, but some are just plain built better.

And to all those that did not choose "In-game currency..." you are to report to "Profiteering 101" immediately. This is a 133.33% return on your investment. It is the penultimate Steiner bonus of the entire package.

All hail the Archon!

I would counter that the permanent bonus to c-bills per match could be a better long term investment. We just need to see how much of a boost it is.
