Your point is well taken though because it really is a gorgeous mech, which I'd run anyway.

I'm settling into a kind of eccentric left-hander build to take advantage of the better weapon arrangement: XL250, 4JJ, HPPC and LPPC. I think I've got endo and ferro on it. Using the funky combo gives me an extra ton that lets me take the max engine, keep DHS #10 internal, and frees up the crits for the ferro amd JJs. At least, I think so. I'm afk, and don't want to go log in to check.

Speaking of which, I just went out and did 1,036 dmg, 4 kills, 5 assists, 4kmdd, 2 solos on my first match of the evening going for the black radio warhorn.

Change of topic:

Next confilct up for faction swag is the Marik vs. Liao scrap in about 8 hours. It lasts about 2 days. Might be fund to go on some nostalgia runs to pick up some Liao swag, if you're interested.

We did spend a lot of contract time under Liao and Marik, so it could be kinda neat to stroll down memory lane knocking over lightposts and blasting stompy robbits.

On a related note, the What Mech Challenge unit's current merc contract expires in about 5d 8h from the timestamp of this post. That will leave us with a few conflicts remaining for swag (6 FP drops with a 100 matchscore nets a full set of cockpit decor (medallion, banner, warhorn):

* Tail end of Davvy vs. Steinny -- Little time, bad contract rates, both historically negative, Davion at -30% (!!!!!1!)

* All of Falcon vs. Viper -- I'm busy on this weekend (no swag 4 me), but if lots of folks want it, I'll select it. Viper is 50%.

* Rasalhague vs. Kurita -- Not great contract bonuses, but its double dragon/drakon.

* Jags vs. Bears. The Smokeys have about the same contract rate (40%) lately as Liao.

If no one objects, I'd like to switch the contract to catch one of these other events. I'm eyeballing Kurita (because Panther, and my preshuss Katana Kat would liek haz Kurita warhorn), Rasalhague (because Panther), or Jags (because kittehs).

Thoughts? Anybody got a strong opinion? Lots of anybodies with opinions?

Please speak up and be heard, even if it's just "go ahead and do what you want, dude," but especially if you're dying for that <insert faction> warhorn on your old funsies alt.

Due to jobreasons i didnt have the time to play MWo at all in the last 7 Months or so. since a few weeks i came back though

Okay, it's been delayed because I've been purchasing duplicates of mechs I already have (for reasons), but I've finally purchased my first Dire Wolf.

I'd intended it to be the last chassis I picked up, given the long-term nature of the grind. Now, it beginssssssssssss.

You see, I've got 39 mechbays.

I have 35 mechs.

10 of them are ClanTech (including my shiny new Dire)

11 are Panthers (4x -9Rs, 3x -8Zs, 2x -10Ks, 1x -10P, and Katana Kat)

Should I be concerned?

Looks totally doable. Faction swag for Steiner/Falcon(Viper?) loyalists only, but lots of c-bills for the rest of us, mercs and off-brand loyalists alike. 100 MC for a scouting win, and the mech reward is tied to match scores. Very doable.

Also, renewed with the Free Worlds League. No sense in paying dropship costs to go somewhere else when the pay's no better than here, amirite?
