Yeah, my Commando 1D is benefiting from the SRM buffs as well. I swapped out my SRM-4 for two SRM-2s and it fires about as fast as a Hugin (pre-patch)! I should have the elites done in the 1D tonight and finally I can get back to the 1B. My free premium time from the event is mostly used up though, so it will be slow going. I am hating the Mastery nerfs on all of my mechs though, thatwas a really bad idea.

I did test my Atlas out on my Ed Steele account and I will say that it can take a massive amount of damage now, however the mastery nerfs hit it hard in the maneuverability department, not even the new quirks can make up for that.

just a little update:

"Thor", the 9S had a weapon-change from ERPPCs to shortrange incl ASRM10(4+6) and has ~2k XP within the Master-section.

p.s.: i see, our little unit keeps growing fine!

p.s.s: I dont know if they changed something about the hitreg for SRMs too, or if only the speedbuff solved the former problems. I like them right now.

Started mine today since I wanted to see how bad tier 5 was. Tutorial done and CN9-A bought. Changed heatsinks to doubles but haven't changed anything else. Played 5 matches and have about half the basic skills done on it. I'll save up for another Centurion (D or AH prolly) and then see how it goes from there. I am now half way through tier 4 with just those matches done.

Note: I don't understand how anyone can complain about the new user experience now. The tutorial was fine and the challenges are good and the amount of extra c-bills I was earning in those first matches was really nice. I also told folks a little white lie that it was my first game and they all treated me well and gave me tips. If the community can maintain this through the coming months with steam release it will do the game well.

And yes, New players are practically handheld to tier 4 now and might as well just be given a couple free mechs when they make their accounts with all the bonus Cbills they get.

Well, I took my Clan mechs out last night for the first time since the patch and they are not even viable any longer, my weapons just bounce off of IS mechs and machine gun boats just strip my armor off and crit me to death in seconds. If Clans win this event, it will only be due to superior teamwork.

I would say either Davion or Kurita. Also, since I am dissatisfied with the current state of my Clan mechs, I will be representing the What Mech Challengers in the event. So if any of you would like to join me, make sure that you drop deck contains at least one variant of your Challenge mech and then you can fill the rest of the slots out with Trial mechs.

I am also throwing my vote to Kurita. And if we just happen to stay there, I'll be fine with that too.

Though I doubt I'll be participating much in the Tukk event; I ran more CW last weekend than I have all year, and that was more than enough to satiate me on the mode.

I'll probably jump back on Ujio for a while and grind some cash for my Banshee's. Sadly, I'm not having near as much fun in my MAD's as I thought.
