They really do, when you embrace the hit-and-run lifestyle at any and every range. Not much armor to spend, so a pilot's gotta be smart about how much aggro to draw and when.

That's 26 mechbays, with event MC, selling grand prize mechs that weren't in the challenge parameters, and of course from my "loyalty" tour.

I've almost got enough MC for Katana Kat in December, but not enough for the mechbay to put it in. I need 2925 MC in reserve to afford them at full price, and I'm sitting on 2,482 MC. Not too shabby.

I'm awfully tempted to hang around CSJ for a bit to run my full-strength deck for a while in FP and grind cash. Gonna chew on it. A long time ago, I pledged to pay like 3 recruitment fees when I return to the unit, and while I'm sure I'd be welcome back without it, I want to have the cash when I hit the roster because it's how I want to play it.

Don't take it too seriously... Sure you want to do your best, but don't stress over it.

I got Victors. Life you, not an Assault pilot by trade or preference, and it's been a loooooooooong time since VTRs were good. Still ended up being fun. The Stock Mech is a little tougher.... I'm doing RFL-3N Rifleman.

I earned my first destiny mech at last!!! a D-DC! WOW.... this is FUN!!!! When I could just pay and get anything I wanted, the game felt unreal and just shallow. Now, in that new account, going through the tough life of starting from the academy and working up each achhievement and trial mechs actually felt real and fun! Like I am really on to something! Having to calculate exactly how much money I need to get an extra medium pulse laser and really going out to earn it felt so so satisfying! Damn, every single upgrade look so expensive now (even a fresh coat of paint feel like luxury!!) that upgrading just one mech is going to be so satisfying! I guess my original account has gotten to a point where I have too much takes the fun out of the game... I get a new chassis and immediately upgrade it in terms of skills and equipment without any process to get there really takes the fun and ownership out of each mech.

Furthermore, my game score in that account is way WAY better than this original account with overall KDR standing at 2.0 with just trial mechs!! LOL! That trial hunback IIC really rocks! I am getting a 5.0 KDR on that mech! I have a similar build with my original hellbringer and runs faster than this hunchback but it doesn't feel like a boss like this hunchback does... the jumpjets make such a big difference??

K/D is miserable, of course, though Win/Loss broadly in line with my norm. A couple of games (one of them the 99th, and both Polar Highlands / Skirmish) went just right, with 400+ damage, a few kills and a win.

The Victors are basic'd and the brawler 9B is starting to grow on me. I guess that'll be the one to replace my weakest Thunderbolt in the drop deck once the grind's complete.

I agree with Pr8Dator, it's a different and refreshing experience; not "So many mechs! Which one do I want?" but "This is the tool I have. What can I do with it?". Probably closer to the in-universe mech-jock experience I suppose.

Yes, taking the choice out of MWO is the core of the challenge. If this was real and you were a Mech Warrior, especially a merc, you would take whichever mech you could afford / inherit / be issued.

So many new toys I wish were available. Stock Mech in Urbanmechs or Assassin? Would do. Of course, lack of computer means will do nothing for the foreseeable future.

Just do a go-fund-me for a new computer like the leader of CGBI did. Or make a website and YouTube videos like Sean Lang did when people donated to him for a new computer. You are active on Twitter Bishop, you can get the money.

Have to look into that. Got bigger issues. Just finally got a job lined up, and now I have to walk away from it too go bury my mother, and figure out arrangements for caring for my brother.

Things got real In pretty rapid succession. I need a working computer to work once I return, but that's suddenly a low priority
