So this is a very short topic. Basically I just finished a match and our team lost. I did alright. I got 10 assists and did 389 dmg. We did get beat up pretty bad. So I looked at the player stats and it said that my pilot skill went down, ( it shows the red arrow pointing down). And then it said "Team Damage 8". I don't understand what team damage is. Why did my PSR go down when I did the most damage in my lance? Heck I have done way worse and my PSR go up. I'm guessing team damage had something to do with PSR ratings?

Well because PSR is based upon your match score in relation to if you won/loss. On a loss I believe you need to earn at least 300 match score for your PSR to remain steady. On a win your match score will go up unless you perform terribly at which case it stays put. Team Damage effects PSR but not by much so that 8 Team Damage (damage done to allied mechs) is insignificant when taken into account.

That must of happened on a loss.
For your PSR to go down on a loss you need to do less than 250 match score.
Anything that's 250 or above will keep the PSR as it is, unless you pull out something like 400+ match score, in which case your PSR will actually go up.
Now, this is what happens on a lost match.
In case you win, your PSR will only stay the same if you do 0 match score. No chances of it going down.
Team damage:
That's the amount of damage you made on friendly units. 8 TD isn't that much considering the almost 400 dmg you did, but a perfect sheet would be zero TD all the time.

You will very often see Team Damage = 1 as that probably means you run into another firendly Mech and inflicted "Collision Damage".
Aside of that 8 Team Damage is nothing to worry about!
Keep it that low and everything is well as long you dont do a Teamkill - a badly damaged Friendly could be killed by such a low amount of damage but usually there be so much less Mechs on the Battlefield by that time that you dont do "Friendly Fire Damage" by then.
Your PSR decrease/increase is strongly bound to losing/winning a match - you lost thus it decreased PSR bcs you need insane high Matchscores on a loss to stay even or rise.
