Beneath a half moon on a chilly, stormy day while the sun yet shined through the gaps in the sky; The Jarl's longship completed its construction and ventured forth from the FRR Hub in search of great adventure, spoils and pillage!
Though the seas were treacherous and some of the wait times galling, our proud vessel raided non-stop throughout the day and well into night. Our crew was made up of a tight-knit Honor Guard of ISEN Thegns, a party of well bought -MS- Mercenaries, and a few hardy -SO- and -1stH- souls who in great courage hopped aboard our creaking ship!
For most of the CW period we alone assaulted the shores of Ganshoren, a wolf world with-in easy distance of our fleet. Our spits up, our war-horns blazing, we sang songs of slaughter and felled the enemies with an easy grace. But in the end it was not enough. Alone there was not time to take all the lands we required to master the world and call it our own.
It appeared that despite the hundreds of enemies we fell before our mighty strength, that the world would remain in Wolf hands. A single longship against a world was too few a host for such a great ambition.
BUT THEN! Just as the hour was ticking away two sister ships sailed in from the mist! The Son's of Odin and their renowned Captain Theaus had heard of our plight, had spied it with his looking glass across the starry shore and had in haste, with the aid of the 1st Hussars, put together two longships of his own! Even as the last minuets of the night trickled away and the ceasefire closed down all lanes of attack, his fleet ships slid into shore.
And with that aid, our allies besides us, the world fell before us and Ganshoren was ours. I cannot say when the Jarl's Longship will once more be taken our of harbor and pressed against the salty waves in search of victory, but keep an eye out for her unfurled sails and heroes of great repute for she will return.
