I doubt PGI would do something like this for multiple reasons, I will call out one so I don't make a post that needs a TLDR at the end.
MC reset would allow you to skip Mech's you have already paid for and didn't like or didn't need to use/unlock. Meaning if you bought an MC Mech and unlocked it to Elite, you could spend that MC elsewhere.
What if you spent it on colors or camo sets? Creating a loss of revenue potential for PGI. Looking at it as a business you have balance things carefully, especially if their expectation for main MC purchases are Hero/Camo.
What you are asking for is a "closed beta wipe" scenario. Being in soft launch... ok, ok: open beta. I am ok with things as they are.

Who cares if my first 3 months in the game were .66 W/L or K/D, when my last 6 weeks were 1.8 and 2.8 or something. Trending data versus flat would help everyone see a more accurate representation of their skill "today".
I doubt anyone has an expectation that they would jump into a brand new Mech as a new player and accumulate a 3.0 K/D. Yet a stat wipe might result in that kind of number.
If you have been playing for almost a year and wiped your stats I believe your long term numbers would look quite different, and not represent your overall abilities as a MWO player. It would not take into account what you have learned.

While I agree it's unlikely , may I just point out that they have in the past "clearly and unequivocally" stated that they would never add coolant flush or third person view either. How'd that work out? So, you know, not so much /thread.

But this thread also proposed a MC reset, and as I've already spent all my founders gold I totally support this idea. Totally.

I'm OK with a stat wipe (I track all my stats roughly weekly anyway to look for trends), but not MC purchases, and would really be disgruntled if I lose my 2.5 million XP invested in unlocking 'mech efficiencies.

Indeed.
With no exaggeration if this happened I would uninstall the game and not return:
Balance issues I can live with.
Bugs I can live with.
Removing all the things I spent many, many hours of play unlocking?
I'll get my coat.

Oh I rememeber a Closed Beta were a wipe caused made your mech bay empty - but C-Bills to buy the Mechs in the hangar was transfered to your account, as well as all XP spend on those Mechs were available as GXP - so it would last only minutes to get your MechBay look the same as before the wipe
Only PGI will loose when something like that will happen.

Users have made financial decisions based on this information.
Ergo, they will not reset MC, cbills, etc.
