Just wondering-

Do you primarily play only one mech or do you play multiple mechs equally?

Mixed weights or prefer one weight class?

Do you have an order to your favorites?

I play Hunchbacks, Panthers, Commandos, and a few other medium mechs exclusively.

I don't see it that way. Some skills that help a Dire can transfer to a Locust & vice versa. I tend to drive mostly mediums & heavies, but I also drive lights & assaults for certain situations. The one trait that doesn't carry well is aggressiveness, which I have to tone down to 5 (from "11") when I get in a light.

With over 180 mechs, the planetary conquest is my oyster..

But I have personally focused and gained some rep with the following;

Lights: (1) Ravens, (1) Locust
Medium: (2) Blackjack, (3) Centurion
Heavy: (4) Jager, (2) Cataphract
Assault: (3) Zeus, (4) Crab

Giving it some consideration I think I am weighted towards Medium/Light piloting as far as preferences go.

I "feel most comfortable" in my Dragon 1C, but I do not play the same mech every session.

I tend to prefer the 50-65 ton range, but play a number of mechs. Only thing I am comfortable in less than 50 tons is the Urbanmech.

In order of "fun", I'd say
Dragon 1C
Zeus 9S
Urbanmech 63
Wolverine 6R
Atlas S
Catapult C1
Direwolf Prime
Dragon 1N
Jaggermech S
Hunchback 4H
Battlemaster 1S
Battlemaster 1G
Timberwolf Prime
and "others"

This was posted before, actually, but I'll respond again.

Somewhere around 60 'Mechs, almost all of them different chassies. I enjoy variety. It's the spice of life. Also saves your ass on the battlefeild.

I mainly stick to the medium class, with occasional *cough* ventures into other territories.

I have only been playing a couple of months but i'm playing a range of all weights. My favourite seems to be lights or mediums. From the 19 mechs I currently own the Spiders (x3) and Novas (x3) are my favourites. I also have 3 EBJ's but i'm not enjoying levelling my 'C' variant very much.

I'll give you the same quote my former girlfriend gave me to the same topic...

"Let me quote Mario Adorf, on the question about faithfulness in marriage:
- The most important thing is, to stay faithful to yourself."

(works better in german, i think) ("Treue in der Ehe" ... "sich selbst treu bleiben")

I'm a medium pilot through-and-through.

The perennial favourite is the Shadow Hawk -- one of the iconic TT mechs I remember from my youth, and for me it's just the perfect blend of mobility, firepower, robustness and versatility. Other big favourites include Cicadas, for more scouting-oriented play, and the new Crab, for being such an incredibly survivable workhorse.

I play all weight classes though, from 35 to 80 tons. I like Panthers and Wolfhounds, although those too I play as lore-correct, slower fire-support builds, and not as "real lights". Occasionally drop in a Jagermech or a Zeus, but they really are not my comfort zone.

Rather than weight class, I tend to be monogamous to my faction. I pick mechs expressly because they're noted as common in the Draconis Combine.

Of course, this has led to my buying some 'mechs that were very painful to level up. Mediums are currently my happy place. Heavies aren't bad, but the cue is always longer. Lights are fun, but only when the ping isn't atrocious. Assaults... though many favor them... I tear my hair out over their speed. If you accidentally nose out in front of half of the enemy force, no number of guns or armor will save you if you're outpaced by most fortifications. Some assaults have treated me well... oddly enough, the Awesome was one of the most forgiving slow designs I've run, but most (Atlas, Highlander, and Victor, to name a few) have been lessons in frustration.

Light mechs forever. The lighter they are, the better.

Locusts forever!

Started out exculsively as a medium pilot, until I jump into an Awesome.
Now my hanger is mostly medium and assault mechs.

I often play a single chassis for several day straight before switching to another chassis to repeat the process.

Favourite mechs
Hunchback
Blackjack
Wolverine
Crab
Trebuchet
Awesome
Atlas
King Crab
Zeus
Mad Dog
Grasshopper

i really like the ebon jaguar, you can basically put the same weapons on it as on 10 ton heavier mechs and its very low profile and swift. mad cats get shot as soon as they are spotted, the smaller cauldron born? not so much.

i also like the king crab, but i have more fun in the heavy or even light mechs, because if you end up in a critical situation you are basically dead in an assault due to the lack of speed.
