So I am almost ready to start adding more mechs, and on the fence about what to go with next. I am leaning to pick up Banshees. I have the following chassis already:</p>
Lights (I don't care for lights much and am fairly poor at them)
Cheetahs
Ravens
Firestarters
Panthers
Wolfhounds
Mediums
Blackjacks
Cicadas
Crabs
Enforcers
Hunchbacks
Nova's
Shadowcats
Stormcrows
Heavies
Black Knights
Ebon Jaguars
Grasshoppers
Thunderbolts
Timberwolves
Assaults
Dire Wolf
Executioners
Highlanders
Mauler
Stalker
Zeus
Please let me know your thoughts and why. I play much more of a brawling style but I do like to have a bit of speed or torso twist if possible. Thanks for your feedback

Hellbringer. Excellent heavy with versatile hardpoints and ecm.
if you're thinking of broadening your IS hangar, you'll want a cataphract, the 3D specifically, arguably the best IS heavy in game (perhaps only surpassed by the quirked thunderbolts). Skip the ECM phract though, its hardpoints are all in the arms so its a useless knuckledragger of a mech.

Commando's - Skip the 1D unless you hate yourself.
Think of a Commando as a miniature ninja version of the Hunchback and you'll be good to get rolling.

Storm Crows are for talentless hacks and squares.
Shadowcat is pretty amusing, so there's my recommendation. If you aren't trying for comp tier, it's a pretty competent skirmisher/striker because it is fast, jumpy, can mount ECM if that's your jam, and can mount par-for-Inner Sphere firepower (according to the forums, if it's firepower is less than 50 it's garbage so I'd filter that dribble out).
Alternatively, Blackjacks, which can mount similar and better firepower, but the BJ-1X is as bad as a Storm Crow when concerning 'Mechs that turn the game into Clubbing Baby Seals Online.

Every Mech has something to teach you...
Locust: Learn to pilot like a boss, through the art of not getting hit.
Centurion: how to roll damage and be a team player.
Dragon: how to live with bad hit boxes, and look good doing it
Banshee: how to be the damage king. (With a Wubshee).
I know my list might seem rather strange to some, but each of these mechs really high light a strong skill that will make you better once you master them.

The trouble I found with the Locust is that your own team will likely rub half or more of your leg armor off before you ever get close to the enemy.

Simple solution: don't hang out with your team. I find that the best place to be as a Locust is to be firing from a position around 45-60 degrees from the team's collective sight-line.

Usually happens within the first 2 seconds after dropping lol. That mech just needs all of its arm armor put onto its legs.
