All Jenners now have shorter sensor ranges. Ok, its a striker.
All Jenners now have target acquisition delay. Not OK, its a striker. A laser-based one!
All except one variant did not receive armor or structure quirks. Not OK, the Jenner is a giant CT without the ability to spread damage.

And then there is the Oxide... Although the stock loadout includes LRMs, no one uses them in favour of mor SRM launchers and ammo. And this SRM-striker got extended sensor range, strong armour and structure buffs and3 seconds of target retention time, making it a perfect LRM spotter while pummeling people with SRMs.

The other variants need a buff, the oxide needs to loose one of its perks IMHO.

The oxide needs an Ammo quirk and a CT buff, it does not need to lose any.

The Ghost Damage mechanic hits lights the hardest including the Jenners since they are energy based

ALL Jenners need at the minimum a CT armor and structure buff, They have been left in the dust. Sneeze in their direction and you will core them out.

Since the day Firestarters were added into the game, Jenners became an obsolete mech. Jenner is less efficient in every aspect in comparition to it's tonnage equivalent Firestarter.

It havent got humanoidal bodytype, so it is not able to spread received damage. Jenner have less hardpoints than a firestarter, and those are placed only in jenner's hands (which can only move up and down), which means jenner field of fire is far more restricted, yet jenner isn't able to protect itself using it's hands, coz it would make him a weapon-less mech. That means, jenner can not allow enemy to destroy ANY of it's parts.

The mech rebalance is supposed to fix issues like that, it is not supposed to make a gap between the two even greater. If you want to keep those 2 mechs at the same level of power, you need to give jenners a huge boost to central torso structure and less heat generation from medium or medium pulse lasers, so it can live as long as Firestarters do and have a similiar dps (jenner's main problem is the fact it overheats really fast).

It's as simple as that. Giving striker light mechs more tools to kill is the only option to make them comparable with other lights, since the sensor range isn't as good as scout mech sensors.

Do what I said and call it a day, I'm playing mainly as a light mech pilot since 3 years, and Jenner was always my favourite pick. I still hope you will make him competitive again.

Under the just released new quirks. They buffed the OXIDE and only the oxide. Those buffs need to go to every Jenner. Right now, you will see the OXIDE far outstrip any other Jenner

i think the hero mech is no different then other mechs he has the same problems ALL of the jenners have
while he gets buffed ALL of the Jenners should be buffed.
Its redicules to buff Hero varaiants with extras just because some people payed money for them instead of cbills.
Btw this affects all of the newer hero variants while other OLDER ones just get nothing or even the nerf bat like the IlyaMuro. Just speaking about Structure points here

Its a catch 22 for the Oxide currently to. SRM Hit reg is way off on the Live servers. However on PTS server it is working as intended. So the results will be skewed a little. However I still can not believe they did not touch the armor or structure of the other Jenners.

Ya know, classically the Jenner is one of the original mechs of this game. It's the fighter plane that every good light pilot knows well. Even without great quirks on live, they... the devs, can see some really really great jenner pilots tearing it up in jenners. They know these pilots, they see them regularly and they see their stats, so likely for a very long time they have been of the opinion that people really can do well in jenners, it's just about where they want it - because there is this bias from seeing it for so long and the fact there are really really good pilots in it, who have not abandoned it for the Arctic Cheetah or the Firestarter.

Even though for ages, all we have seen typically is the firestarter and the firestarter is now been eclipsed by the Arctic Cheetah, there really still were guys who hopped right into a jenner and tore things up, knowing it like the back of their hand, being able to time manuvers and reliably guess arcs, angles and approaches to combat that were simply not as likely for those who had not the sheer number of hours and sense of handling in their mechs. While these pilots would be vicious in any mech and often too have moved on to mechs they joke are I WIN mechs, they still put up numbers in the jenner that make those statistics seem just as impressive for jenners as arctic cheetahs, panthers and firestarters. So why buff em if they still perform incredibly.

That logic is probably what is to blame for how unquirked they remained for so long. A concentration of really skilled, long term players still using jenners likely skews the performance of the chassis, statistically. This then justifies better quirks on everything else to bring them in line. So now, looking at the Oxide, the jenner that has no jump jets and must be within roughly 270m to harm it's enemy, that also has (or at least had) a huge penalty to acceleration/deceleration, it needed something to offset this. Being that this is only the Pts, may as well try out any bonus armor or structure on one of the 4 chassis, not all of them. That way you can easily compare the variants and see if what you did is making that Oxide MUCH more survivable, or not really. If you put those structure or armor quirks on all of them, you really don't see the difference being made and this IS after all about testing and getting representative data, not simply letting you have fun with a better jenner across the board. Maybe it's too much. Maybe it's not enough. Side by side on the server, maybe they can tell better with some quirked, some not... see that all are still just as fragile feeling so that maybe even more structure is needed.

Additionally, they stated that hitbox changes are coming on November 17th patch for amongst other things, jenners. Perhaps that will make enough real difference in their opinion, that they feel that if anything, only the Oxide will really need to be abnormally tougher... cause the thing is some sort of irradiated nuclear zombie jenner, tougher than nails despite being rusty and strange looking. We shall have to see.
