Maybe someone didn't see that, but:

http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/214117-map-and-mode-voting-poll/

there is a poll running to show pgi what community's opinion is about map/game mode system.

Someone believes pgi listens
If not, there will be the prove that they do not.

Not even 200 votes thus far.
Unless pgi does an "ingame" vote (not message about a vote on the forum, but a forced vote in the game itself) we will never know what "the community" thinks about the mapvoting system. Those votes limited to forum users do not even allow a valid guess.
But there will be enough guys creating "pgi ignores the wishes of the majority of this community " threads based on it.

Yep, and it's ridiculous to continue to complain but then quite nobody goes to vote polls when needed.

56% prefers vote system to be removed.
26% likes what we have now.

Interesting.

Above all, it will be interesting to see PGi actitude about this.

I placed my vote. And that is to revoke the new voting system.

With 200ish votes (when I saw it) it's not interesting in the slightest, that's a minor blip.
Come back once it put a zero at the end and it might be getting informative, till then trying to prove anything either way with that poll is muppetry.

Voting is fine for the most part but big groups have too much say in what gets picked. Perhaps limit the vote of a group to just the group leader (kinda hard with 2 12 mans though). With obvious popularity of certain maps and modes, maybe we will get PGI to make the others more interesting for the general public but that is wishful thinking.

Map voting is awesome. Hope it sticks around instead of all the whiners complaining it away.

Everytime I read one of your sh1tposts using ad-hominem attacks against whoever disagrees with you I wonder how a grown man can be that small and simple minded. Today I took a look at your profile and saw you were in the US army - now it all makes sense. Carry on, soldier. lolz

First, I was stating an opinion, not making a formal argument, so the fact you consider it an ad hominem is no skin off my back. Also, your claim I make ad hominem attacks, formed AS an ad hominem is hilarious.

Second, if you actually read my profile, no where does it say I was in the US Army. ;)

Try harder.

No, they don't. They are an incredibly small voice of opinion, the only possible thing they can say ATM is that "forum polls get very few participants"

The poll is pointless since not everyone reads forums.

Flawed poll, won't participate. When the option is to remove voting, it does not leave any room for interpretation what it should be replaced with.

Would I like to go back to checkboxes and multiple "buckets" of queues? Hell no.

Could I consider giving up voting where the game picks map AND game mode? Actually, I might.

But since that quite distinct difference is not an option in the "poll", I'll abstain.

And as long as the number of voters stay under 1000, I'd hardly call the results "interesting". It's not like when we voted about 3rd person view with roughly 5000 participants (that poll does no longer exist, but the follow up poll had roughly 1800 voters: http://gsexdev.blogs...-using-ews.html ). That was an issue worth voting on. With interesting results.

Isn't the Navy is just an army with more dancing, waving flags and tolerance towards homosexuals?

Not to mention the sock puppet accounts made by haters to vote in the poll again.

Odd that the very same people that came up with ways to game and abuse voting are rather silent on ways to abuse and game this vote.

Be quiet, maybe we will not notice...

You guys didn't notice, that there already are players pausing because of the map/mode-voting. Their numbers are increasing and pgi will change the system. Simply because its destroying the fun of many in favor of the skirmishers.

Going back to 3 queues would at least call down the rage until a really proper system is found.

Congratulations, you've almost got as many people to vote as are normally on the forum in my lunch break.
