Provide an additional reason to play CW, salvage.

Clan and IS Salvage - a way to introduce equipment to each major faction, but with a performance hit.

Examples - Salvaged CERMLaser could be salvaged for the IS, but its range and damage would be less than if the same weapon was on a Clan mech. Salvaged ISLLaser collected by the Clans and its range/damage would also be less.

Each component would need to be repaired and refitted, so there would be a fee. And it would need to be done for each component to make it usable.

Some of the other decisions would be who would be able to collect any salvage, one part here, one part there? To the victors belong the spoils? Would Salvaged equipment become available on the general market only after a set period of time, in the same line as when mechs are purchasable via RL cash, then MC then C-bills?

Again, not all components would be viable, with some weapons being more accessible than others. This would be different from other games in that a CERML would not be identical when equipped on a IS mech as it would on a Clan mech.

Thoughts?

This would need to coincide with added rpg elements and a real player economy.
