How do you play in a community warfare game
is it just and normal play button ?

Nope.
Go to the "Faction" tab at the top, between the "Skills" and "Store" tabs. This will bring you to another screen with a map of the Inner Sphere in center and a list of planets on the right. Select any of these planets, and hit "Attack" or "Defend" somewhere in the middle of your screen, right above where your drop deck is displayed.
Hitting "Attack" / "Defend" will bring you to a kind of lobby, which takes 12 players to fill. When there are 12 of you, you will form a team and enter a queue waiting for an opposing team, this will either take you to a match or a ghost drop if no enemy shows up.
A hint and a word of warning, though:
Hint: Pick a planet where there are other players already. This will increase your chance of getting into a match.
Warning: If you follow the procedure above and enter a match, you will mostly likely arrive there as a new player who hardly knows anybody else and who has no idea what's going on. You will get slaughtered. It will be better to link up with other players first, try to get some teamwork going.
