Another entry, just because:

The rifleman stands upon the hill,
barrels cooling from the last volley.
A nova is his latest kill,
it paused too long in its great folley.
He scanns to left and then to right,
looking for his next opponent.
He hopes he will begin the fight
by blowing off a few components.
A sudden blip on radar HUD
reveals the newest target running.
The rifleman hails his closest bud
and eagerly resumes the gunning.
At last the match has come to end,
he stands victorious with the best,
His base he did rightly defend,
not one red mech has reached the crest.
