For those 'memorable' VOIP comments you just cannot believe happened.
The ones that make even the craziest Forum stuff look tame.

My current pick happened a short while ago in a Tourmaline match. Some guy kept ranting on VOIP about what he wanted people to do and they would not do it. A couple of us tried to get him to calm down but he kept going off and then.....

Magic happened.

First he commented he was trying to raise his Elo.
Then he tried the 'my Tier is better than yours' bit.

Then it just got priceless.

He actually said to me personally,

"I have 200 Mechs mastered so stop being such a Canadian."

Wow, 200 Mechs mastered let you determine (falsely) someone's nationality?

I honestly hope someone recorded that match and puts it up somewhere.

Had a strange one in group que the other day. We were on Forest colony when one of my team mates started babbling on the microphone about this fanfiction level head cannon he had for the match, Going into unnecessary detail like saying that we were the Capellans and that we were fighting the St-ives compact over some factories hidden in the jungle. Any way it was really bizarre and he went on for 5 minutes like this at first I was gonna just mute him and go on with the match, but to be honest I was kind of enthralled by his enthusiasm.

Ive heard a couple recently at the begining of matches that cracked me up..

"Unhand me, vile spacecraft!" - referring to the leopard drop ship

"I'm Canadian, I don't ever need thermal vision" - snow blind drop on Frozen City

Sounds to me like you possibly ran into the Space Captain? He's a little weird but completely awesome. I've had him in my team a couple times. I could barely shoot straight, as I was giggling like a little girl through the game.

Oh yeah, the PanzerMagier. Had him yesterday, too.
Too funny the guy. Has a great voice and the commands are hillarious. He actually commanded good, but the giggling and laughing on our TS was quite... distracting :D

(Hope I will see him again :) )

"Someone pass the lube. Rather my quad UAC 20's will not jam much and we will win, or we'll get r****d and the lube will make it feel better"

~Quad UAC 20 Direwolf pilot, Winter, of 2015.

It made me chuckle as surprisingly nearly everyone on our team had UAC's and had jamming problems. (I personally had a single UAC 20 and a single UAC 2)

Said in my first ever MWO match, not on VOIP but still...

"I'm going to make love to you all in my panis eye."

I still have no idea what it means, but it has forever changed how I see the world.

I am no longer the man I was then, and I can no more become him again than I can piece together the meaning of this phrase.

But one thing is for certain: This is the true meaning of the universe.

I had someone tell me I should do voice over work after hearing my VOIP.

"I need someone with an AMS mech to stand next to me, I am a sniper", said a Timberwolf pilot with a gauss rifle while trying to break off from the group and hide behind some buildings near the back of the map.

Not saying anything against taking long range shots or gauss, but this really isnt COD.

I will admit that I have, on occasion, just spouted out with goofy stuff over VoIP.

Couple months back, I had a complete Sky Captain moment, and shouted "Protect the rabbits! Protect the rabbits!" in the middle of a PUG match when our mediums were getting chewed up by the enemy team.

A recent good one was a guy on River City yelling and swearing about how we all were "worthless ****ing fa**ot pugs" who had "no clue" how to work together, etc. Match ended and I went to report the guy. Noticed he had 37 damage in an Ebon. He was one of the last to die as well.

Another one just this last Saturday. Match on Canyon. Fellow start out making a sort of rhythmic "nyaaa" series of sounds (think of the "most annoying sound in the world" scene from the original Dumb & Dumber movie). Went on like that for a good 30 seconds. People were typing in WTF?, DUDE!, SHUT UP!, etc. After someone typed "Muted and Reported" the guy finally shut up and then proceeded to type apologies for most of the rest of the match...instead of playing the damn game.

People are indeed odd.

I ran into him once too in the past few weeks - hilarious, but he does make the game more entertaining, and his commands worked well AND the team listened, resulting in an utterly crushing stomp in our favor on Polar Highlands. He's welcome to do his thing anytime.

"Hey... shouldn't you be on twitch-dot-tv streaming World of Warcraft or something while we're playing serious games? Cause uhhhhhhhhh... yeah."
-Guy in an Atlas LRM boat, after someone tried to explain to him that shooting his missiles at point blank was doing no damage.

I'm 99% sure that he was drunk, because that's not even a coherent insult.

Had a guy drop in a stock Urban Mech just to criticize everyone's builds after he died immediately.

In response to a warning about lights possibly cresting C3 on Frozen City

"I'm a streakcrow. It will be dead as soon as I see it"

Pilot then proceeds to end the game with sub-100 damage and no kills.

Or something along those lines, it was a while ago.

I find it the funnies when they trash talk their own team mates at the end of the game. And even funnier when he is the guy that died first by ruhshing out to his death alone and gets mad because we did not follow him.
