Please point me in the direction of another game similar.. Is World of Tanks worth a peak?

World of tanks is too arcadey.

Warthunder is a better simulator.

Both have issues.

I must admit i am starting to feel very disheartened about MWO.
Driving a sub-par mech that you don't enjoy piloting to level up one mech you do enjoy piloting while having to fight on the same maps and the same modes over and over, while getting owned all the time by high alphas your mech can't even go close because it's not quirked/clantech...
Is bad. Very bad.
I've always been a great supporter of MWO, but the absence of any step forward in way too many things (balance is stuck, skill system is stuck, no new maps, CW is stuck) coupled with a few step backwards (poorly implemented voting system, new mechs being released with quirks that make no sense balance wise), is really making me feel burnt out.
I'll stick around a while longer, just to see how this rebalance thing goes, but if it sucks then i'll just stop playing.

I get it... You're not happy with [ Insert point of contention here ]. You've been disenfranchised, irreparably wrong and unceremoniously ignored by PGI.

Great... A brand new [ Insert new hotness here ] is on the cusp of release and its got promissory of being the next best thing to wet t-shirt contests.

Go play it.

Good lord I hope everyone who plays MWO has some other form of diversion and entertainment in their lives. I hope whatever new diversion is absolutely stunning... I really do. I hope this to be the case so you'll be less inclined to carp over PGI not folding to your incessant whining and tyraids of injustice.

I'd like to think this is just new(er) players who have seen patterned history and think the way to get their way is to grouss the loudest... Sadly I'm seeing as many ensconced players attempting to ply this tired ploy as vigorously.

Seriously... take a break and dive head-first into that new diversion.

... I beg of you.

NO!

I'll leave when I'm good and ready!

And until such time when I feel I'm done with this game, I will provide PGI with feedback, comments, and personal opinions so they know what they did right, what they messed up, and what is just ridiculous (like map and mode voting).

The ONLY other way I'll stop is if this game is declared "finished" and no longer "Beta". This means no other modifications would ever be done and the game is to be played as is. If such a time ever comes to pass, I shall judge if it is still play worthy, state my opinion, and after this, forever hold my tongue.

If you don't like people expressing their opinion, I suggest YOU leave, or simply stop reading the forums.

:P

.......3pV was never wanted, but it never made any one "auto-aim" gods. Not even sure what you are talking about on that.

Weird. Because in the original 3pv I got more head shots than I ever did in 1pv. And I found it VERY hard to miss anything at all.

But YMMV.

Yeah, forums are unusually garbage recently, and that's saying something. I mean, if virtual riot over tiny ****, the riots for real **** will mean less. Riotting efficacy is a resource guys! ;)

original 3pV? Don't even recall much being changed on it...it certainly never generated any rage over the aiming on the forums. In fact, from the get go, the rage turned out to be simply because it WAS added against our wishes, not that it added any particular advantage to shooting. Video? Context?

I remember my headshots being a lot easier back then mostly due to a lot of mechs still having easy to hit head hitboxes.

If you are referring to all the malcontent regarding map and mode voting as "tiny ****" than you, my fellow mechwarrior, have sadly, missed just how huge of an issue this is..

But you are right that all the "unusual recent garbage" on the forums IS saying something.. Just hope the right people listen..

Yes, absolutely huge and gamebreaking-- people don't get the maps they complained about getting before.

Or..... we can also use a reverse approach.
Why doesn't PGI go to publish another "amazing" game, instead of extending publishing rights on BT and MW titles untill 2020?

Why.....?

The SILENT MAJORITY tm Brought you third person view. A thing that absolutely No One asked for (less than 10% approved PGI spending time on it).

PGI did it anyway. It sucked, and for a time introduced auto aim while in that view making gods out of ******* that couldn't figure out that their legs and torso could go in different directions....

They spent EVEN MORE VALUABLE TIME FIXING A FEATURE NO ONE ASKED FOR. Cap for emphasis on how utterly dumb this notion is...

Sort of like the mode voting feature. That should have simply been set to random. With all three modes getting equal percentages. Something that you could program in far less time than adding a new graphic UI element with an A or B choice hot button context menu.

There was a small portion of beta players that wanted 3pView, and the rest of us wanted them to stop asking for it because it took away from the realistic nature of the game(originally). People also use it to look around obstacles, and I know this for fact because I have watch others using it that way in spectator - hence the unfair arcady advantage that destroys realism.

Just saying, people did ask for it. Even if it was stupid.

But it never pushed people away like this map selection patch has!

If you've been paying attention, most complaints are about game mode selection, not map.

Map selection is an equal complaint as the same maps come up repeatedly. I as well as many others, have yet to play Terra Therma since the map select. Bog as well.

Since you posted this, I've had a long, hard thinking session about leaving. In the end I decided that I'm staying because I don't have to spend any more money of the game, and I know it annoys die-hard disciples of PGI/MWO that people like us like to keep poking those sore spots.

I spend more time on the forums these days than playing. It's less repetitive.

I never complained about the maps, I liked all of them for different reasons.

wait waat??? What did they get done exactly? They raised like $5,000 to try to make a new game and cancelled it because nobody was pledging money. Their forums were full of haters, more people created accounts for Transverse to hate on the entire idea than people that were legitimately interested in the game. They didn't get **** done dude...

Forums full of haters can totally ruin any game. I give them credit for raising money.
