Can anyone confirm or deny if MWO has multi-usb support?

I just saw the MFD Cougar Pack (below) and was wondering if I could use that in combination with a joystick iin MWO.

Well unless you have an LCD that that "MFD" will fit on top of it seams really useless to me... But that's besides the point...
The buttons can be configured using the software that comes with the "MFD frame" so I see no reason why you cant use it. Getting an LCD to work might be possible sense the Razor Artemis is doing just that. Oh and "multi-usb support" is built into windows so any game on pc has "multi-usb support" B)

From what I read, I understand these devices also register as joysticks.
So while windows might recognize multiple of them, I wonder if the game will allow multiple "joysticks" as input devices.
As far as configuration goes, I don't believe these buttons can be mapped to standard keyboard input.

And yes, I know they don't have LCD screens, but I just like the idea of the easy locatable buttons B)

Keep in mind that the Razer Artemis is being designed in collaboration with Piranha specifically for MWO. So while the LCD on the RA will work with MWO, there may not (at least initially) be support for other LCD/display devices as secondary displays. That's only a maybe. It would be nice if we could configure a second display for maps and system readouts.

As far as multiple joysticks goes, good question.

Something that would be really cool and immersive, would be having the ability to configure some push button controls on a touch screen. Essentially turning the display into a mech control panel. Two big red buttons: one labeled EJECT and the other FLUSH COOLANT. I would purchase a third display (USB powered and connected touch screen) just for that.

If you want something with easily identified buttons, I use a Logitech G510 keyboard which has 18 programmable buttons, in three 3 X 2 groups, on the left side and a 3 mode mode buttons over those. That gives you 54 unique, user defined functions.

I also use a Logitech G13 gamepad which has 22 keys and a mini joystick/mouse control, again with 3 mode buttons. The mini joystick/mouse control can also be programmed to an additional 7 buttons.

Hope the info helps you.

NVranya I use the Logitech G13 I suggest you try it... The layout is pretty ergonomic and easily programmable. The 22 buttons should be plenty for MWO. Also you can use the thumb stick to emulate a mouse in case you need to type something with your right hand. Maybe pick one up from Best Buy so you can return it if you don't like it.

After some more Googling I found that TM released T.A.R.G.E.T. for configuring devices, the MFD pack among them.
Since this software works by virually disconnecting the controllers and allows for keystroke scripting, I'm very tempted to just buy this since it should work with MWO in this case anyway.

Still would like to know if multiple joysticks are supported

And yes, if MWO supports external displays that would really be neat, I might even get a couple of 7" displays to mod the MFDs for that, like someone did here.

Edit:
An edited post and a new reply.

I have the logitech G15 keyboard (also 18x3 macro keys), but I do like the idea of a more cockpit like representation B)
furthermore, I always forget what keys does what and with the MFD you can create graphics to insert including bindingnames/functions to remember

by the way the G13 is a little more useful then the G keyboards IMO (I have a G510)

TARGET will allow the MFD's to emulate keystrokes, it also allows for control of the leds on the MFD's, it also handles other Thrustmaster products (including Cougar). Interestingly enough TARGET was not out when the MFD's were released, TARGET will not accept other controllers TM does not have a set of rudders outside of using a set connected to a Cougar base.

Ultimately all games coming out at this point should accept multiple controllers.

When MW3 was in beta the TM F22pro/TQS/RCS worked, when MS released it the controller would no longer work (one too many buttons), fortunately Bob Church (TM supporter) wrote a new driver with on less buttons to get the stick working in windows mode.

Took the gamble and got them to work with MW4: Vengeance, so no doubt they'll work with MWO as well in one setup or the other. (joystick mode vs keybinds).

This will be my MechWarrior cockpit for now:

I am picking these up for my Enclosed Mechpit project, the 7" DoubleSight LCD monitors are supposed to fit nicelybehind the Cougar MFDs. I did not use them in my last pit as I built my own but 40 or so buttons and a controller for the cost of buttons alone? Good deal to me. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824185013
