When I first came to MWO every player wanted Community Warfare, after its release those same players wanted nothing to do with it. The main reason for this, in my opinion, was that Community Warfare became another game mode with longer queue times. Most players wanted to play more than wait, and the value for winning a match meant very little in comparison to a standard Skirmish, Assault, or Conquest game. However, I think I have a Community Warfare concept that would excite and inspire the player base while possibly solving some of the aforementioned problems, so I wanted to post it here for comments.

I play CW sometimes but it needs a few things.
1. A reason to fight for planets. Right now it's colors on the map, nothing more.
2. Wait times, mostly caused by itself & dominance of high tier teams.
3. Lack of variety. Hopefully 4v4 scouting missions come soon.

Did you click on the link? In the PDF I demonstrate how they could or should do just that.
TL;DR
Each planet has unlocks, the first stage is 4v4, the second is our current 12v12, the last section is 8v8. Once a section is unlocked it cannot go back until after a Cease Fire.

Again, did you click on the link I posted? In the PDF I describe how the 4v4, 12v12, and 8v8, concept will allow or provide multiple drop sizes and reduce overall wait times.
TL;DR
In the beginning of an Attack Phase, it is easier to get 4v4 matches, so the queue time would be quick. Once a planet is unlocked for Planetary Assault, pilots wanting to unlock the 8v8 format would aide in the 12v12 section, again adding population to the queue.

While I agree there is no real reason to attack planets, having a planetary scale fight, or more immersion, would at the least make the battles enjoyable or fun. This in itself would provide a good enough reason for me to play Community Warfare over the standard Death matches we currently play over and over again.
