This may not be suited for this community, but I'm having issues getting my Nostromo thumbpad working with MW4: Merc's (disk based).
I was trying to set the Left and Right of the thumbpad to steer the mech, but nothing happens. I used the Razer software to map the buttons to the steering keyboard controls, but still nothing.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to set this up? I bought this thing to use when MWO comes out, but it's pointless if I can't get it to work the way I'd like.
Thanks.

When getting mine set up, I discovered that it won't handle both a joystick AND the Nostromo. I wound up having to use the joystick as the active 'Joystick Controller' and the Nostromo was just detected as a secondary keyboard.

Do you have your mappings set to a profile and the profile turned on? If you right click the Razer icon in your task tray you should be able to select the active profile. You can also set the profiles to be associated with an executable launcher, but I never trusted that much.

i see that it has it as a joystick, but i'm only using the nostromo and a mouse, so no conflict there.

it's the only profile that I have set up. the other buttons on the keypad work, just not the d-pad. maybe i have to clear the key mappings on the d-pad.

As others have menioned MW4 will only take one controller, one of your controllers will have to emulate a keyboard, the other can be a game controller in the system.

that's just it, i only have one controller (nostromo). it shows up under the joystick.
the mouse shows up under mouse.
basically, i wanted to use the mouse to torso twist, aim, and fire. use the nostromo to do the keyboard stuff with it's d-pad for steering.

Hmmm, just plugged in the n52 and let it detect like a keyboard and skipped the software. Did not have a problem with it. MW4 Merc just does not like the extra buttons on my mouse...:'(

i remember when i first played back in '02 that i had to program the buttons on my mouse using the mouse software in order to get the extra buttons to work correctly.

The Nostromo DPad is NOT registered as a joystick. It behaves as 4 discrete keybindings. By default it is bound to the cursor keys (up, Down, Left, Right). Just go into the MWO Options and use the dpad to bind directly to Throttle Up/Down and Turn left/right. Currently have this working with my Razer nostromo.
