Well, more like I mentioned it, then the next day I told him to go sign up and he already had lol. Even if the game ends up sucky ( I don't like the not being able to pick who you're fighting against, what if we reform GR and wanna smack around some old PS :P , but hopefully they are going to add that option), it will be cool BS'in with some of the old players. I know GR has Hill, Robmore, and me on here. I emailed Rigs and Mojo, but both emails bounced back as bad addys now. I gotta feeling Eyes will show up, just a matter of finding him. One of the guys here at work is in touch with Slortnoc. Now just need Cobra, AA, and a few more lol. Maybe Allied can track down Dark Dante, Black Feather, and some of the old NOTRT since he was netmeching before me and knew those fellas. Dang that'd be sweet!!

I think Hill said he is in touch with CH. Rob said he is signed up for Beta, but dork didn't tell me his name lol. I'll have to email him again. Also been trying to remember Slortnoc's name since he lives here, couldn't remember and yesterday out of the blue one of the guys said his name lol. So I will be trying to get in touch with him soon also.I got 4 gigs of RAM for anyone that can track down Mojo and/or Rigs too!

LOL, spend 4-5 nights a week with them for as long as I did and some are hard to forget  Plus how can anyone forget the GR members... Simply The Best :D
And I do happen to have links to most of the old MW2 clans pages. And I can proudly say that it seems the GR message board is the ONLY one still functional! See, even bravenet wouldn't mess with us. I can hear it now..... "ok, go pull the plug on that old board"... "he!! no, them guys are bad a$$, YOU go pull it!"...."um no, maybe we can just better leave it up".

I actually use to run a netmech league called World Netmech League located at www.mech-league.com. I still own the domain and recently took the site off-line due to exploites in the orginal forums which hadn't been updated for years.

I just installed MW2 and NetMech ENHANCED (As the BattlePack Version is called) just the other day in my new Fully Enclosed Mech Simulator: http://mwomercs.com/...mech-simulator/

I also teased my 17-year-old daughter that I could not install Ghost Bear's Legacy: BattlePack Edition alongside it because she damaged my disk for that....back when she was TEETHING. She looked at me solemnly over the table and said "Dad, the only thing sadder than a nerd is an OLD Nerd."

Thanks to both you and my daughter for reminding me that the good old times are back in the form of MWO. If only I had the time to enjoy it more, things would be GREAT.

NightlyReaper, Out.

Wow.... That is badass. Although to me it looks like a giant copier from the outside. lol.

"That's no Canon All-in-One copier! It's a Mech Simulator!"

Well done.

I too am a "old" Mechwarrior Returning to MWO. I played Netmech Dos over a 14.4 dial up conection. and thought I had a screaming conection at the time.
My Call sign is and ALWAYS has been Kromm. Or from back in the day as it was displayed in Kali <WD>Kromm. The WD stood for Wolf Dragoons, A Merc unit that I was the leader of.

~PS~Jimbo reporting in.

Played a lot of MW2 with Super and Coolhand. If this was in '99 I was about 13 years old and I was horrible. Sometimes I would drive / aim and my brother would be in charge of torso twist and reverse button.

I'm better now I promise ;D

Nice to see so many Kali / Netmech people here.

I am RFR-Stormer from the Rasalhauge Free Republic. Primarily from the TKZ but, I understand we had other groups in the other Netmech games as well.

The hours that I put into playing this game were just massive. Older now, and more responsibilities, but still here to join in and have fun with the rest of you guys.

Mech of choice for our group was the WarHammer. We determined during testing that the hammers arms took most of the damage from weapons fire before torso or legs would take hits. So as long as you did not place any weapons in the amrs your mech would last a bit longer than the other mechs, that took damage more normally. Using the Arms for FF armor points or Double Heat Sinks allowed you to keep alot of your inner torso free for hardpoints.

Looking forward to working out great configurations for in game use.

Wooooow...so many old faces all in one place... seeing these names definetly takes me back to the beginning, sitting in my uncle STALIN's living room, watching him play netmech, instantly becoming hooked, then creating my own name and goin to war with you fools!

PS, GR, DL, SR, HH, NC, and a crap ton of other clans that I can't remember. As a kid back then, I loved getting online, and piloting a mammoth machine from in front of a computer screen...even with 56k...lol... Shoooooot, if I had anytime now, I would love to jump back in it...but until then I'll surf the boards and wish all my old compatriots good luck! I will check back soon...

Happy Hunting

Cool to see all the people coming to MW again. i am an old netmech player also. Played alot on Mplayer, was in the Hell Horses clan for most of the time then got picked up by the Death Jester Combine when HH split up. Kept playing through MW3. buts its been a long time. its nice to be back. Oh and its nice not to have to account for lag and shoot 5 mechs ahead hahaha.
