currently I have like 21 mill C-bills sitting in the bank

but currently i am in a fork on the road

my grinding days of C-Bills is pretty much using the Direwolf-B trial mech with the Stromcrow trial mech as well

so pretty much the decision to make here is either get the Direwolf B chassis which cost 17 mill

or go with triple Dragon chassis and basic upgrade them with Endo steel, DHS and AMS and master them

Help a fellow pilot?

Pilot skill i may get with GXP now is the Advance zoom as I go for long range snipe shots

Thanks
Regards

If you're most familiar with the Dire and the Crow, then Dragons will be a rude shock. Due to physical design (beer gut), they are fractionally as sturdy as either of your clan rides.

Dire and Crow are both excellent for their class, keeping with the trend I'd recommend trying Timber Wolves.

yea i do know their huge center torso are the weakest part of the mech and killing them is easy once they are using XL engine

wasted maybe 1 or 2 i see in the battlefield using the Direwolf B

while i do want to use a Clan mech

but the price is too huge for me to take in one glup.

timbers only cost 15 mil, do you have engines for the dragons?

if not, then dragons are going to sit around a 12 mil price point after DHS and Endo + XL340

Hmm I might go with the Timberwolf/Mad Cat

because after looking at the mechlab builds

even a basic upgrade while retaining the STD 300 cost 7+ mill C-bills each

do the C-Bill ver of the Prime retain the 30% C-Bill bonus?

They don't -- you only get the CBill bonus if you have the (I) variant i.e. if you buy it as part of a pack.

I'm curious: is there a reason you're not buying Stormcrows? At 11m each, you've almost got enough for 2 already, and provided you buy whichever variant is the current trial mech, you'll have a load of XP on that version to unlock basics right away.

while i do like the stormcrow stock loadouts

unless i load it out with dual ER Larges, UAC2 and CLRM 10

the stock crows either run hot or dont have enough punch to suit my sniper play style

and i still need to juggle the work of Drop commander while sniping

crows can hit pretty good at range, room enough for a gauss and lasers or some LPL+ML, and are survivable enough to DC from, IMO, not a bad choice.

timbers are more versatile and capable though IMO.

remember you can swap omnipods (hardpoint type) with clan mechs, greatly changing how the mech plays.

well that is the plus point of the Clan mechs

So i guess Direwolf only when i got more C-Bills?

I now only down to Stormcrow and Timberwolfs

but i seriously hate laser vomits even if there are the current meta

would love to run stock Timberwolf Prime but the ammo count is damn low for 40 missles volleys like seriously 9 volleys?!

the Mac Cat/Timberwolfs have 24 volleys in Mechwarrior 4

Really can't go wrong with Stormcrows if you are comfortable with them. Fantastic mech.
