Mech the Dane has challenged jjyn to a Holmgang! jjyn, not lacking honor, has accepted!

Mech the Dane will fight jjyn in a 1v1 battle, in honor of our custom and heritage as Viking warriors.

The reason for the challenge is irrelevant.
The outcome of the challenge is irrelevant.
Any bad blood or past disagreements are irrelevant.
Only honor matters.

Both will enter the arena as enemies, but will emerge as brothers. Conflict resolved, they will be absolved of past transgressions (both actual and perceived).

Observe this ritual battle not as a division within the Republic, but as a way to resolve our disagreements. Rasalhague will emerge stronger!

The terms are still being agreed upon between the combatants.

Looks like the Truth of the Isen thread has been moved. Oh well.

Jjyn, I think in true holmgang fashion we fight three rounds. We have zero other mechs in the game, but two shoutcasters. The match starts when our mechs power up. You can pick the three maps, just let me know what you decide.

I figure as far as mechs go we should restrict ourselves to the same weight class. What weight classes do you want to fight in?

I'm actually surprised the Holmgang went down. Usually when I challenge some uppity shiptoaster they refuse adamantly or act like they never heard the challenge.

I give props to jjyn for having the intestinal fortitude to accept the challenge.

I fight to win. I am sure the French noble complained as his guts tasted the sharp edge of an Ulfberht sword.

id enjoy either of the two. I might have premium time. I'm always looking forward to a good fight, especially 1v1's I'll be on for a bit today, probably till about 10:15 PST, but you can always find me during the weekend.
