When you go to buy a Mech from the "Store" Tab, you can't sort by what Faction the Mech belongs too. On top of that, there is no clear label as to what faction they belong to. With the Steam release incoming I hope this is on their to do list.

Together with a clear text that they are only usable for their respective sides in Community Warfare. Would hate to see new people interested in CW make the wrong assumptions like a lot already did when it was first introduced.

Aye, I think it needs to be more clear in every part of the UI the difference between Clan and Inner Sphere. A tiny label hidden in the mech details tab isn't going to cut it for a newbie that has no idea that there is a difference, or even that they exist.
EDIT:
Like this, perhaps.
Plz ignore horrendously bad Dire Wolf...

Yes.
With new players coming in that do not know the difference between a Clan Mech and IS Mech by name, they will generate countless "customer service events" when they get Mechs from the wrong faction and find that can't mount any of their inventoried weapons on it. Also, the CW dropdecks.
We need a way to sort between Clan and IS Mechs in the in-game store.

Being a BattleTech veteran, in my mind this wasn't a thing... But you are right, for new players it would be a horrid and potentially expensive mistake.

Hadn't even thought about it. Yeah this is a problem that needs to be fixed.

Yeah, really good point. As a long-time Battletech fan I never even really thought about it but new players could end up wasting A LOT of money (time) on a mistake along those lines.

If would be great if:
Factions had some in-game descriptive text
Faction choice limited/modified/filtered 'mech selection
Faction choice indicated what 'mechs you could use in CW
For starters ...
But good catch, OP.
