The past two days:
Approximately 15 matches in different modes and on different maps.
1. River, Assault. Three people start capturing the base with the score of 7:9 (not in our favor). Someone commanded and urged everyone to stop capturing and engage the enemy over voice communications (if you decline that command, you usually feel like a bad person). We lost.
2. Terra Therma, Skirmish. The enemy Arctic Cheetah runs across the map into our spawn location and dies.
3. Terra Therma. Assault. One person leaves shortly after the game starts. One more "disconnects". Both never come back.
At least 3 out of 15 games were affected to a degree by the new system (20%). In the past, people disconnected from maps only for the challenge events.

Unfortunately 95% of my 100+ alliance members have stopped playing since this voting system has come in, and i cant blame them , the frustration of having to play modes you dont want coupled with the same couple of maps over and over again is really wearing thin. Option sounds like either log out or do a suicide run every time, oh thats right cant log out until you die , suicide run it is then. I have played over 11000 games and enjoyed most of the time playing them, but the last few weeks are really testing peoples patience.

I will also add to this topic. My anger about this garbage is currently too great...
Introducing voting for the game mode was a completely unnecessary change. It was working fine before. The player decided what game mode he/she want's to play. Now, it's just in an unbearable state.
Just coming back from having the brainless skirmish mode forced onto me for 5 times in a row. And that was with me voting for another vote every single time. I will not play this game mode 50% of the time.
I would agree to having to play skirmish in 1/20 matches, maaaaybe 1/10 . But even with the change towards weighted voting, it's still way too often that players in general have to endure this.
Map voting is another topic. But taking away the player's freedom of choice for something as essential as game mode selection is groundless and just accomplishes to make a lot of people angry. I am.

For you knuckleheads who hate the voting system, and believe the old way was better, it wasn't, but you never spoke up about that when the threads concerning the voting system came out. The original voting system was entirely borked. Now, since I enjoy playing all three game modes, and most of the maps, I actually get more of what I want to play, with the new voting system intact. I love the idea that they give weight to those who don't get to play on the maps they want to play on; I think that's just the cat's meow, right there. If you don't like the voting system, go back and read the reasons why it needed to be added to the game, and then shut your crack-hole.
I love the new voting system, frankly, and the instances of playing on stupid Frozen City all the time are beginning to lessen, and I only have to tolerate Viridian Bog once in a while. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind frozen city, as long as it's not game-after-game-after-game...
So, get over yourselves. The vast majority of people hate Conquest, so it's not played. I gave a good way they could change Conquest to make it more appealing, here, but there's been little bloody reaction to it. So, when I drop into a game I'll select Assault every chance I get, because I'm an objectives guy, not a "shoot it in the face until it dies, then kick it in the nads" sort of player, but I get Assault so bloody rarely that it might as well be non-existant as well. Still, I get out there, I have a good time, and no one's the wiser.
I want you people who are attentive to the role you're playing in any given drop to have more of what you want, but until the st00bs and other twitchers clear off, that's not going to happen, unless and until you have a single-player game, and perhaps not even then. So, I truly hope the voting sticks around... it's certainly the absolute least of worries, now.

we dont want "GAME MODE" Voting!
Why?
IT DOSNT WORK!
how do I know this?
I play the game , I see those who will only play Skirm , whatever the game mode.
Whatever you vote for it turns into skirm.
Thats not a vote.
Better just get rid of all the other game modes , just have Skirm, At least that would be honest, and those of us who try to play the other game modes will not be harassed , put down, or just frustrated at a no Mind team.

I have been paying careful attention to the *percents listed in the voting screen, and as often as not, I will be looking at a 80% vs 30% vote - and see that vote come up in the results screen as the 30% victor. Is it really a voting system? Does the total reflect the calculated voting preference? Those are the questions I have about the *vote... I don't think it is accurate or reliable.
I am a strong proponent of being able to choose game modes, with the actual map being the only vote -- I also am tired of playing skirmish in particular. If we could at least deselect one of the modes when we go into the matchmaker it would make me satisfied.. If I hate conquest, then I can switch only that mode off.. or if I hate skirmish - the same, with the other two modes being a vote result.
I have been playing CW much more lately, and have been developing friends in that mode.. there, at least, there are objectives - and strategy... something I miss in the quickmatches...

so i went as far to be nice and ask the question on the mwo facebook social media site as to why there is no response about the voting in game feel free to go to the mwo facebook page and share the post it seems to be the only way to get an answer is to make this go viral and let everyone see the issue at hand.https://www.facebook...Online/?fref=nf
yes this is my real facebook account so be considerate. i can make make the thread go viral with some minor google seo work but im not looking to flame pgi just get an honest answer to why they dont address this issue. if they have a reason for keeping it that is sensible and its doing what its supposed to do we need an answer if, its not doing what it was intended to fix we the answer thats all. the game has not been fun since they added this voting system in place and i would like to go back to having some fun with the limited time i have to play it.

As it is only a slight majority who play skirmish, I would agree. PGI should release numbers of people who selected just conquest versus people who selected just skirmish or assault before the vote started and release how many people actually vote for each now. I would like to see this majority of players people are talking about, after all 51% is all you need to take the vote.
