

Give Disconnected Pilots A Short God-Shield

Stays the way it is until drop ship insertion is instituted into every map (and like Sjorpha said, no rewards for killing or damaging a disconnect while disconnected).
Once Drop ship insertions are added to every match...
Drop ship keeps a disconnect on board and doesn't drop him. If a Disconnect player can get reconnected within 2 min, he can be reinserted via drop ship giving the enemy ample time to react.
If a player can't reconnect within 2 min, the player misses his/her drop window, the drop ship is now in orbit heading back to the jump ship, you have to take a disqualification and miss the match. This prevents a healthy mech from shifting the tide of combat with a fresh mech attacking weakened units that were contributing to combat.
This means no destruction while trying to reconnect, no farming a disco, no dropping a player into combat fresh when a team has been weakened (which is much more likely over a 2 min mark vs under a 2 min mark).
Is that more fair?

In addition, why is the rest of the team not protecting their disconnected companions but instead NASCAR off to the blue yonder?

do all that...but factor it always takes 2-3 attempts to actually log on the mechlab......

Wait 4mins till all enemys are yellow or red damaged,
reconnect with your fresh mech and farm kills
