Did you guys know before the start of each match, there is a new minigame you can play?

You are pitted up against everyone waiting to go in the match. Everyone is presented with the same 4 icons.
The aim of the game is to pick the least favorite icon before the timer runs out. But be careful, other players will have the same idea! So you gotta be quick and use your wits!

which works 1 out of 12 times and even then its unsure if you succeed and the other 11 times you play what the others wanted.

I never said my logic made since usually I don't want to play on any of the maps that have been getting selected ... example last night played terra therma conquest and then played caustic valley conquest at no point did I ever select those maps. So knowing my luck people are selecting them with their weighted vote.

(Sadly only had 30 minutes of play time to test the new system but that is what happened.)

I got put in Therma last night against my will but eff it so I said to my team at the start don't stand at the entrances to the pit,get in and try to control it.I go in and try and lead by example.What did they do,yup they all hid in the entrance and we got skelped 0-12.
I raged at the team.If you vote for a map make sure you know how the **** to play it.

I only played a handful of games before my copy of starwars battlefront showed up but I got my map vote up to 4 and my mode vote to 5 /flex

However, the question is ... does this new "minigame" result in a better distribution of game modes and maps? If you get more conquest/assault compared to skirmish while still getting a decent number of skirmish matches ... it is working. Same with maps. None of the maps or game modes "screw" anyone over since if you are building for only one type of match and map ... you have already failed.

At least with the voting system there is some selection possible by the players.

I love the new minigame. It reminds me of a betting parlour. Now all we need are drinks, a bowl full of nuts and a funny guy in glasses, a clear green visor cap and an apron and it will be complete.

OP, you say it's for kids?
Than maybe it's OK for all those that played (more than one time) the broken-Quickdraw in the PTS, just to piss people off... what do you think?

As I said in another thread, why would I even bother wasting my precious free time just getting irritated by this new "mini-game", when I can choose to do other things?

I'm loving the "mini game". Numbers going up and down like crazy, ending on unexpected maps and modes.

It's like playing slots x)

Interesting take that. We could never Vote for Maps before and "random" seemed ok for your precious free time. Why not just select a Mode now and not a Map and then your back in happy, happy, joy "random Map" land again. Just like before.

Maps have never been the problem. It's game mode selection.

I did select a mode - 4 times in a row, in fact. Didn't get it.
Twice before I didn't select a mode since my option didn't come up, or I was too slow to log into the game.

Happy, happy joy was not to be had.
