Dear PGI,

you might not notice but: Your queue mechanics works the wrong way around. The later you add yourself to the wait queue on a planet, the higher your chances are to get the drop. This is true if you have a big group that jumps into queue and get some pugs as fill-ups. Don't belive? Well I did it a WHOLE EVENING just like that to sync drop with a defenders que from an other faction. I was on their TS but in an other faction, so they couldn't get me into the group. But all I had to do was to tell them when I entered the queue myself. Didn't matter if there were other pugs already in. Once they dropped, me and the other guys who joined last were queued up. The unfortunate others who queued up earler continued waiting.

The later you get into queue, the higher are your chanes for a drop. This is bull--- you know what I wanna say. Please fix this!

Thx

Um... guy, your logic needs some fixing. There can be no queue if there isn't a first entry into the queue. If you have 12 individuals, one individual must be first. If you have 2 groups of 6, one of those groups of 6 needs to be first. That's what a queue is. It's a line where you go to start waiting for the next available resource once you have your stuff together. Have you never been to an amusement park?

example:

planet with 8 pugs and 4 open slots. i wanna sync with a 11man. so i go into the planet, now its 9 pugs (who already were waiting there!). 11man gets in. i will be the fill-up for the drop. the other 8 guys already waiting there? they gonna keep waiting.

to keep your amusement park example:

queue waiting for the roller coaster. a big group comes in. the security let the group get in first. but the roller coaster isn't full. how would security fill it up? guess what... it goes at the FAR END of the line and take the guys who just got there. the guys standing next to the roller coaster? have fun waiting!! cya!!

This is called Last In First Out (LIFO) and has been happening for a long time in the CW queue. Match Maker seems to prefer fresh meat. Look for a queue that has been there a while, then jump in and cut it line.

Ah, gotcha now that you've clarified. It does like to pick the fresh entrants for some reason. I think some of it has to do with the logic trying to fit groups and individuals in a certain way, but its definitely something that should be reworked. Realistically, if PGI still plans on mashing everything into CW it probably won't happen until that initiative is done.

That isn't a byproduct of the queue and chronology. The queue fills up a waiting game the fastest way possible. That means if a 4 man had popped on to that planet before you had you 11man jump in, the 8 man would have launched first. It has nothing to do with the order you joined the queue in...

There is not an 8 man in this case, it is 8 solo players. The player who most recently joined the wait will be picked up if an 11 man joins the planet. ThisOneDiesALot is saying the first one (longest wait) should be picked up.

and again that's got nothing to do with when you joined. That has to do with those 8 solos already being placed in a team of 8 awaiting for more players. If an 11man and solo hit the queue at a relatively same time then they drop in as a team of 12. This is a very minor occurrence in my opinion otherwise we'd have a LOT more complaints about it. I think you're looking at an extreme outlier and thinking it's more common than it actually is.

Yesterday when yet another ceasefire had ended, a brave mechwarrior went queuing on the Falcon front. He announced in faction chat the planet and invited others to join. It didn't take long for the group to fill up.

Sadly the last ones to join were a group of 4 players meaning that the one who started the whole assault was left out. Working as intended..

Hey everyone,

Thank you for pointing out this issue. We have confirmed this bug and are aiming to have a fix out with the Dec 1st patch.

To clarify, this bug is related specifically to the formation of strike teams. Using ThisOneDiesALot's example, this is what is going on visually:

And this is what it should do:

Hi Neema, can you confirm if the 11man CW bug is resolved? Heard that some 11mans still couldn't launch into CW without picking up a 12th or dropping the 11th guy.

Hi Onimusha shin,

I think you are talking about this issue, right? http://mwomercs.com/...-to-drop-in-cw/

If so, unfortunately this issue is different than the one mentioned in this thread. We are still investigating.

Sweet. I saw this happen in a match just yesterday. Was first in queue, but last to actually get a team.

Very good.

I wonder how many "40 minute wait time" threads were created as a result of this? I wonder how average wait time will be affected. I always did think it was odd seeing people claim to never be able to get a match being responded to with "I get matches almost right away all the time". This explains a lot.
