I think we need to have more tools as well to improve teamplay. Or gamemodes to let people work more together.
For example: Escort the VIP, Capture the Flag and real mech waves (like zombie modes as we call it) bases to defend and setup tactics.

I'm also a hipster that stays around to the end.

I do it mostly for a sense of "closure" so to say. Just leaving right after getting rekt leaves a weird feeling that I didn't see it through to the end, and it makes me wonder what the heck happened and if our team managed to win or not. I don't want to leave loose ends "untied."
Once in a blue moon I might pick up a new trick while watching people...or shake my head in frustration at their steering-wheel driving skills or potato mechbuilding skills.
