Why is PGI just terrible at designing their own game? I gave them credit for getting this far with the screens FINALLY. However, this really puts it into perspective.
Their incompetence rears it ugly head again. They are probably making money in spite of themselves with this IP.

why?
Would they agree if it included an option for a pinup guy instead?

I just wish they'd make the interfaces in cockpits like in actual US military vehicles. The reason why the lights are red/green and the screens are green is to make them easier to see with NODs on. Same goes for Russian equipment and their choice of red for most of their lighting and displays.
In very few military vehicles will you ever see blue lighting actually used while in tactical operations because of the washout effect you get.
In essence, I think they need to look at the current HUDs and instrument panels of war fighting machines and emulate those in terms of color, lighting, and general ergonomics.

I agree with you.
For example, MW:LL HUD looks more functional and it makes us feel that we are piloting a war machine:

This thread is making me wonder if the new cockpit screens will be like the dynamic mechlab portraits?
If players can go into the files and replace the images, that could have a lot of potential.

I hope so.
Replacing monitors with unit logo, your own signature, tag or whatever. Would be delicious.
