The Mist Lynx Appears To Have Gotten Some Love!

I was in that tiny bugger for a solid 5 hours (played a cheetah for 2 matches) and didn't lose an arm or ST all night. I got legged once but managed to jump to safety while my teammate finished off the last guy. Another match should have gone worse but I had a lucky streak of 3rd world lag at just the right time. I actually feel sorry for that cheetah in river city. That's the only time I'll ever feel sorry for a cheetah.
I know it has some structure and armor buffs but I've still had problems before. Maybe they changed the arm hit boxes?.....
It's still leagues behind the cheetah in about every category, but it seems to be much more survivable now. Anyway, me likes!

Mist Lynx. If you are going to be made out of paper might as well have some range and be able to jump.

It really depends. It's much better than it was. It used to loose an arm every other match. It's structure/armor or whatever buffs have incredibly helped that. But... It's not competitive and it never will be. I wouldn't say it's the worst mech in the game but it's incredibly hard to do well in. If you're not a good light pilot who likes to play sneaky, stay away from it. The cheetah is better, by far, in every category except jumping.

I've never lost a Torso in one until the legs go.
But yeah, if you play it as a skirmisher with ERML and maybe smalls for backup, it does quite well.

.
One of the variants has significant leg structure quirks and another ST structure quirks. I left the game for 10 months and have been focusing on cheetahs since I got back. I just recently started putting time in with this guy and noticed all that stuff.

The mech hasn't been changed for months...it's still the glorified protomech that it has always been.

The ML has been ok since they quirked it. It can't fight other lights in a brawl but it can have strong backstabbing and harassing games. I'm a fan of quad ermls or three er smalls and 2 srm 4s. It wasn't till the cheetah that there was a mech I really feared in it. Could always outjump firestarters to shake them but anyway. Ok mech just not amaze but not bad

I can't handle SRMs without artemis. And for the tonnage of the launchers plus ammo, I don't see any reason to take them over lasers. 2xsrm4 and 2 tons of ammo is 5 tons right? That's a lot of clan lasers and heat sinks.

srm 4s without artemis are pretty good. It gives the ML some close up punch that it normally lacks and is one of my best scoring variants. Not sure if 2 tons ammo or not though

ECM and single ERPPC is my fav, i have had some insane game with that mech shooting from secluded spots and pop tarting like a boss the size of a tic tac!
I have very little luck with anything close range, either SRM's or Sm Lasers. The MLX just doesnt have the armor to do those kinda of close up hit and run attacks. Gets beat up to much and has too little armor....maybe if it was Commando speed it would fair better in the scuffle.
SRM' 4's dont need Artemis, SRM6's do....But on the MLX you dont have the weight for it to be viable anyway IMO.

5% ER and 5% energy per arm? Or straight up 10% per arm (thinks like cERPPC builds are buffed)

I agree, it needs something to help solely because of lacking Tru Dubs...
Would really get rid of that ceiling (as far as damage is concerned) that mech like this have (Poor Dub owners) due to cooling inefficiency.
