Might as well admit that something is very broken here. Does this game even have a working matchmaker? This has been happening a lot lately and I don't remember matchmaker being worse like ever in the last two and a half years.

Of course I can't speak for everyone, but right now most of my builds are troll builds, and thus I'm underperforming within my tier.

Edit - Before other people post pictures of how they did it, there is a reason why you kept that picture. It's not impossible but it's hard as hell to do on a troll build

MM matches Ranks, not player skill.

What we have here is a skilled T1 playing against and with a bunch of unskilled of Rank 1 to 3.

Op lost a PUG match 6-12, decent score with pugtards. Why isn;t he complaining about the MM when he wins with the same or worse score for the enemy? Assuming he/she does not want this to happen to him/herself, what fixes do they want so they cannot do this to others?

How many have non functional R keys?

How many are mute and cannot talk via VOIP?

How many have no fingers to type?

Ignore that because it is the MM fault for a players bad piloting and gunnery skills.

In the future, just revive one of my MM hate threads. Make some kind of comment to bring it back to life. That way you can discuss it but never have any flack come back your way.

But... It's a tournament weekend dude. bring your A+ carry mechs and take it for what it is.

Eventually yes, but I doubt they will still be noobs once they grind their way to T1.

Bottom Team had 7 < "good enough" and the Top had 5< "good enough". It really appears as if the winners just had 6 players who were a team and that was good enough in that instance. But as usual, ever loss is due to the "noobs" everyone gets saddled with, right?

Matchmaker doesn't scientifically promise that every player it matches will top 200 damage every single time. One side very often will wreck the other out of hand, and some elite players will be offed before they top 100. Happens -all the time-. There's not much to do for it, I'd think.

They could have newbs start in tier 5 and slowly go up as they learn but nope.

And so it is that the obvious solution to fix MM is being ignored by PGI. God forbid we have balanced matches! In fact, let's take away the choice to select modes so you are forced to play what you don't want to.

Battle Value has been providing balanced games for 30+ years. With this PSR rating, they can now assign a pilot BV. Now MM can tally up one side numerically and match it within 5%. What a concept.

Maybe this will be ignored because they want to kill this game. It begs the question:

What does French Canada have against us anyway?

I don't claim to be elite but it's rare that I don't break 200, even in my Mist Lynx or Jenner. I don't see much excuse for an assault or heavy to not break 100. That's literally less than two hits. And I just can't fathom what it takes to pull single digit damage. Actually, if every player in the match did about 250 damage, it would probably be the best game ever.

As prevoiusly said, it took me 1 match to have tier 3, playing well, and 7 matches to have tier 3 playing yolo, with new accounts.

So, yes, MM tier based is a lie. Imagine now this id1otic feature after Steam release
