Hey are those new quirks and stuff on the PTS supposed to go live on the 1st?

That's what it says in the PTS Testing thread in Annoucements (on my cell phone or I'd link it).  I hope they are cause I bought 8 or so mechs with Cbills because of the new quirks, and also 3 Hero mechs due to the new supposed quirks (and the sale)

I just hope the agility nerf validates lights more and my Summoners.

I heard they'll just remove them next patch instead of nerfing them over and over.

Be careful with buying something because of quirks on the PTS though, what you see over there isn't guaranteed to make it into the next patch.

The agility and heat sink nerfs are both Clan and IS.

Arent Clans only losing max range on lasers?

I thought IS was getting more capacity as well as more cooling, while clan was getting much less capacity with more cooling.

I'm probably going to take a break until the middle of January. Surely PGI will have returned to its senses by then and retracted all those silly agility nerfs. Also, hopefully all the Steamies will have settled down a might.

You're losing 6% cap on a 25 heatsink Timby, but all mechs still retain the 50/60 heat cap. The heatsink change only affects PoorDubs, not the 30 base cap or the TrueDubs (20 for 10 TrueDubs, 20% from efficiency).

Frankly I am disappointed that they threw out or delayed all the interesting things they tested in favor of yet another quirk pass and global debuffs to agility and a clan wide nerf to engines.

Those two nerfs are going to really hurt the underperforming mechs on both sides and from what I seen of the quirks they will not even come close to countering those global nerfs let alone raising them up to the point of play ability.

Bottom line is global nerfs when you have a large number of underperforming mechs is silly. They should have balanced those mechs to the point that they were competitive and then did a global nerf if they felt it was so nessesary.

At this point I will have to go through the 70 or so mechs I have and see if I can find any that do not move like barges. Everything else will gather dust as from what I seen on PTS do not bother torso twisting. It is so slow you will not be able to spread damage anyway unless you switch all your standard engines over to XLs and then ramp the rating to max. Lights felt super sluggish too which is gonna mean death. Then again maybe that is their logic. Nerf the clan XL engines because thats what players have been asking about and then nerf agility to the point that IS has to run XL engines. Balanced....restored I guess.

6% heat cap loss and 3% dissipation gain on the 25 DHS Timby.

What I don't understand is why. The whole story and lore of mechwarrior was Clans where stronger than the Inner Sphere, but they where mostly outnumbered by the sheer amount of forces of Inner Sphere that even though they had stronger weapons where still over powered by weaker battletech. I am not so sure that taking away their range will make it any better honestly then again this game is getting farther and farther away from the true point of mechwarrior anyway because in this world balance for weaker battletech wasn't a thing they where weak because they where weak.
