I'm sorry to hear about your dog.

Most dogs eat poop, they just do. Someone told me it might be because they don't get enough meat in their diet but I find that information highly dubious.

Also, running some electric fence will keep unwanted rabbits out.

Our property is too big for that.

I forgot to add, get a second dog. It often works best to get a younger dog to accompany your older one, for several reasons, among which are that it gets you an unbroken cycle of dogs, it lets your older dog have a companion, and it lets your younger dog have an example to teach it how to behave. Plus two dogs are better than one when it comes to policing your yard.

We have a second dog, a Chihauhau. The rabbits are bigger and he was adopted as a "City" dog. Thinks grass is an afront to his dignity. Besides, those rabbits would kick his tiny little arse.

Wife is done with pets after raising kids and animals for 20 years. Storm will pass in a year or two and the Chihauhau will likely be around about another 8 years. If I could find another shepard like her I'd do it, but she is one of a kind.

Wow, I can buy an AR-15 at Walmart with less hassle than it took you to get a pellet gun. Where do you live?

Hey..it's Canada, what can say?

Few things here:

1. That story was frigging hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.

2. I'm sorry for the financial expenditure so far. That really sucks.

3. Concept of getting a sidekick puppy to learn off the one you have is a great idea. Pass the torch early.

4. Dogs eat crap because they use crap to mark their territory. Getting rid of the "competition's" crap is a way of saying, "This area is MINE!" . . . unfortunately bunnies don't give a crap . . . or maybe they do . . . since they keep leaving donations.

5. If the air rifle doesn't work out, you could always use poison. You know your dog only goes out so often. Chocolate (like baker's chocolate . . . the strong stuff) and Aspirin will kill rabbits . . . FAST. They can't process the toxins in the chocolate and that'll kill them off quicker than you can yell, "Thar she sneers, the white rabbit!". Also, adult Aspirin will quickly and swiftly poison them to death (It also works great on mice . . . a few little pieces of aspirin left around areas the mice go, in the house, and they'll suck it down). To those pests these poisons are like sweet, delicious death to them. You'll have your revenge as their tiny little hearts explode in doom.

Thanks for the Choco/Aspirin tip. Might resort to that next if my aim in real life continues to reflect my aim in MWO.

Stopped reading after admission of clickbait title.

Enjoy your own suffering.

Probably the best story on here. More entertaining than the game, for sure.

OP: If you're a dog guy, and like Storm's behavior, I'd get a puppy for the reasons Levi provided. They learn a lot from a good role model. Way more than PUGs learn, despite speaking the same language and having voip and chat.

One cheap thing you could try is getting an owl scarecrow. Owls are natural predators of rabbits so the rabbits will be scared of it. If you get one that has moving wings and you put it on different places occasionally they won't grow accustomed to it and will hopefully stay out.

Well, then he's got to kill and stuff an owl.

I recommend a Snowy Owl. I here they're popular.

To get a true high velocity pellet rifle requires licensing, permits, courses, etc.

Man, where do you live? I can walk into a store and buy an assault rifle, no questions asked and go shooting the same day. Pistols are the same thing.

Licensing, permits and courses for a pellet rifle? I've got to know and have a few guesses.

An Update.

This morning I was pulling the car out of the garage to go to work, and as I'm pulling away from the house I notice our German Shepard sitting contently in the back yard.

Something looks funny though. Her paws seem bigger, whiter. I stop. I stare.

She chewing on a DEAD WHITE RABBIT!

Now I'd love to give her credit for tracking it down and killing it at her advanced age, but I'm pretty sure that I got it. Over the past few days I'd taken a few shots at the rabbits, especially "Moby" but they'd all just run off and given me bad looks. My "sighting in" of the scope was pretty poor and I thought I was missing them, much like I do targets in this game.

Well, in frustration I decided to screw going for the head shot, I'd go for center of mass. I must have hit it and the pellet went right through and it ran off only to die of shock later. Then I suspect that my trusty dog found it and dragged the carcass out from under whatever bush it was in and Storm was there that morning chewing on it peacefully.

TEAMWORK!!

Sadly, I had to stop the car and take the carcass from her, I want to minimize the potential Vet bill.

2 wabbits to go.

lend a another "real strong and younger dog" for a day to chew on some bunny fur?

hire a professional hunter or ask on twitter, oen may just want to coem for shooting things.

@OP If you just wanted to post a story about you dog and the rabbits, you can do so in the Off-Topic sub-forum Posted Image. Which is where this thread was moved. No need to arbitrarily link it to pin-point discussion.

Give Storm my regards. Glad you guys got the rabbit.

Maybe you missed the part where I said that my dog, Storm, had been contentedly chewing on it for an undetermined amount of time, so it's off the recipe list. :(

She sure looked disappointed when I took it away from her. I think she thought "Best chew toy EVER!"

I was more thinking you should plan ahead for the next rabbit. :D
