-fix high fps drops in the beginning of a match
-fix the black screen bug after tabbing out and in again
-fix the rejoin loading time and the high fps drop after a successful reconnect

Oh I see I'm not alone with this... I thought it could have been related the fact fact I play in 3D so tabbing out/in is a bit longer than 2D.

There was another game I was playing and after a crash in a game or at the beginning (for exemple, tab out/in), when you restarted the game we were immediatly brang back in game without intervention... which I think was nice.

They've been worthless for 3 years, did you expect something to change?


Paul said something about waiting for new visuals before fixing them (keeping them worthless means no one takes them, and they hurt bad systems performance wise).
But I think that was close to a year ago now.

As long you have the leaddesigner on board expect half changes and broken things. I see Russ is trying, it's something but 2016 will be a year of minimal effort again. A thing that won't change.

and take away that damn central advert, the exact same one on the loading screen, not only is it irritating, it takes a couple of second to clear, that could cause a login penalty in your automated system

Easiest way to do it is to make the Flamer damage over time weapon. Something like 2 damage per second for 3 seconds to all sections touched by the flames. Duration refreshes on next hit. Bound to be useful against those pesky leg humping Lights. And the Flamer mech wont overheat before the enemy.

I seem to remember flamers being very situational extremely good in forests, useless in cities, and flamers caused more heat build up to the mech using them than the mech aimed against on a 2-3 level

(waits for the this is Mech warrior not table top rage)

I actually don't think they should have more damage /range but maybe tweak the heat build up in the other mech so that they can be shut down by them.


Of course if there was real destructible terrain, that could be set fire to, and cause heat build up in mech near the fires, then they would be far more useful and wouldn't need any changes

Best course of action when being attacked by giant stompy robots is to try burn them with fire. When that fails have marsh mellows as a backup. That way the enemy can have smores after they kill you.
