Nice discrepancy between the ACH and everything else.

Yup, ACH ain't remotely broken, nothing to see here, move along........

Oh, and before you decide I'm attacking your "epeen", I could care less about that. Just amazes me the stats jump I see in most peoples states between the ACH and the next best Light Mech.

A few people, like Adiuvo are probably pretty close, but most I have seen sport a similar huge gap in stats.

Well, the ACH is a relatively recently released mech, so they have fresh stats. Most other lights, except WLF, have been around for long enough that many people probably have, like myself, a lot of "noob" stats on those mechs holding their averages down, or even a lot of stats from before the initial Quirkening when mechs like the Firestarters first became good (other than the Ember). It's the same reason that my Urbanmech has such good stats compared to everything else.

I have a dream that pugs would actually listen and turn on the chat or voip function.
Tried to warn this goober in a Victor his back was being cored by a cheeto.
Of course he gets cored and I leg the little backshooter.
Then strangely enough he finds his chat button and rages that the team could have warned him.
I told him I tried, but thanks for the kill.
Yes I have a dream.

while it is the most effective manner, when I hear Comp say they have no problem killing them, then I watch their Twitch matches,...and I see Adi and others exposing themselves to ridiculous levels of fire constantly, with only about half the shots seeming to register, and I still gotta say hitreg on fast Lights is still more fubar'd than on other chassis.

Well I think part of it has to do with magic holes in certain chassis where stuff can pass right through them and do no damage.

That one day heavy and assault pilots will learn where to go and position themselves. Instead of just chasing the tails of their own lights everywhere then whining about nascar.

I have a dream that one day we'll get the quads.

But this dream shall never come true.

I was never a fan of the quads, the models wouldn't fit in the Hexes properly.

Very untidy...

Dont expect me listen to Voip. I pug, because i wanna have relaxed playing, full of music and sunshines. If i was interested in "communicative" gameplay, i'd rejoin one of the comp units i was previously part of.

When it comes to pug play, no tears only dreams.

Don't blame lights for the fact that scouting means **** in this game.

Depends on what measurement you are using just like how any survey can be fudged to show favor to your position.

Scouting actually has meaning, it means more chance of winning increasing XP and possibly CB rewards.

I think you're taking your anger towards something else out on me.

It doesn't sound like you play lights very often. Would you suggest we babysit assaults and not contribute to the killing?

Good lights can distract the enemy by hitting the flanks, kill their out of place mechs just as you mentioned being killed, rack up a **** ton of damage by poking from flanks all while keeping eyes on the team to return if needed.

Sitting around, waiting for enemy lights IF harass the team, is a huge waist of resources. Plus, mediums are far better for that role anyway.

Some Lights are quite good at sitting around near other Mechs.
Racking up a **** load of damage is not always a good thing.
Sitting around waiting is good if you have a Brawly build, even better if you have ECM too.

Not to be a jerk but, well, don't brag about stats until you can hold about a 3.0 to 3.0+ KDR in the PUG queue.

OH, almost forgot... _and_ 500+ average damage a drop in the chassis you regularly use. Damn I'm being half-arsed today... and lastly, a 1.3 or greater win/loss ratio. Gotta be credit to team, carry team and get those other stats up so you know what you do... matters.

But if you mention your 2+ W/L on a mech you're a worthless, Tier 1 elitist, try hard that represents everything wrong with this game and the world.

So get your bragging done while you're Tier 2 or under.

Stats only matter at the MWO Academy Awards Show and have less to do with communication and taking command.

Yes I have a dream.

A few times I have turned VOIP off only on specific players.
I don't know why I occasionally see someone start a match with no speaker icon.

You are absolutely correct, lights have tons of roles. He was arguing that the primary job of lights is to guard the team against other lights if they're not scouting.

Of course knowing where the other team is good. But when it comes down to it, if you keep your murderball out of the known death traps it doesn't really matter when and where you run in to the enemy. About every position has a good point to it as well. Just stay out of jenner alley, death canyon, places like that and stick together.

Wining is #1. How does that stat not matter? Maybe it's #2, after fun. You could argue damage and kdr don't matter, but not w/l.

I have dreams.
Of Lights who do not venture off on their own getting wiped while the team goes elsewhere leaving the team to be harrassed by enemy Lights.
Of players who do not Nascar leaving Assaults behind to get wiped thus giving the opposition a firepower advantage that wipes the rest of the non-Assaults.

Self preservation. After being abandoned game after game after game by the mindless race-tracking (always counter-clockwise), Assault pilots have learned that if they don't get moving before anyone else, they will be abandoned. And, most of the time, regardless of whether they start fast they are left behind.

The rest of the team needs to learn that Assaults are the firepower backbone, but are helpless against multiple (and sometimes, ACH I'm looking at you, single) enemies. Of course, individual "glory" (dying while doing 84 damage) by lights and mediums matter more.

I usually hang with the BUFFs and end up, in a frigging Badder, with 4 kills 4 assists and over 600 damage.

Close but truth is, the real dream is that a team coordinates and compliments each other.

Both sides have their own perspectives but heavies/assaults seem to expect lights to sort of be their "guard" dogs against enemy lights...not realising that lights can do much more than that.

OTOH, lights that I've seen in pugs mostly play their own game also. They hardly communicate their intention or relay information at all.

Stats clearly demonstrate a difference between bad players and good ones. You can't fake good player stats. They are as they are. If you are a bad player, you will have average to below average stats.

There's only so much you can do in your erllas raven before your win/loss, kdr and damage starts to suffer--especially win/loss. If you have high damage/drop, reasonable kdr but terrible win/loss... well... then it will become clear to someone who looks at them what is really going on.

Yeah. Made the mistake of PUGging in CW last night. All my teams tried to win Invasions that way (tried both Clan and IS).
Needless to say it did not go well, and after 4 matches of my team not even breaking double digit kills, I went and did a Dr Who mini marathon, instead.

Doubly frustrating, since in the late morning/early afternoon yesterday, I PUG'd CW and had 4 good matches, 2 wins, 2 losses. I can only assume that earlier was more Euros, and that the Germans, in particular, seem to take their gaming a little more seriously, or simply have more...er.. manliness... than the US crowd.

Almost enough to make me stop making fun of them when they visit mexico with their pasty white legs, calf socks and sandals.

naw... I'm still going to make fun of them. :P

We Germans are very manly and are never afraid to push :D

We also make fun of those Germans you describe so everything is fine :P

Hey Tarogato, I know you like stats mate ;) and my Light stats haven´t been clouded by the evil Cheetah so I´ll give you mine:

Ya I know, not enough killing for my dmg, I have that old habbit of crippling a Mech and then leaving it to die ;)

I also have a dream that one day PGI will implement a proper chat system rather than this abortion we currently have. Sick of typing stuff out for teammates only to have someone die and everything get scrubbed. >.<

I was in a cheedo last night. I took a full face alpha from a Tiber Wolf when I was peaking over the top of a ramp on HPG (dumb to peak and poke in this mech I know), We're talking something along the lines of 2LPL and 5ERML, straight to my CT/H. I didn't even twist much because I wasn't expecting it and I was so convinced I was dead... Just waiting for that split second of loading that indicates a death. The alpha ended, I backed up behind cover and looked down at my paper doll: Yellow armor CT, yellow armor LT, the rest of the 'mech, pristine.

Uh...

Even though I was on the advantageous end of this particular bug it still miffed me. I know tomorrow I'll be the one shooting at this magical little mech
